‘Water pump’: Mechanics break down the most common issues with Infiniti they see

Mechanics break down the most common issues with Infiniti they see

In a revealing TikTok clip by @accurateautoinc, mechanics disclose the common issues INFINITI vehicle owners face, shedding light on the reality beneath this Nissan subsidiary’s luxury exterior. The list is extensive and insightful, from water pump failures driven by timing chains to the notorious transmission troubles that plague INFINITI and its parent brand, Nissan. The mechanics also highlight oil leaks and a variety of sensor and electrical issues, painting a picture of potential pitfalls for current and prospective INFINITI owners.

Unfortunately, INFINITI, renowned for its blend of luxury and performance, is not immune to problems that can mar the driving experience. Reports and mechanics’ insights indicate several areas where Infiniti vehicles might fall short. For instance, the infamous overheating issue that can abruptly end a smooth ride, power steering leaks that dampen the joy of navigation, and a variety of electrical quirks that can leave drivers puzzled. Additionally, the smooth transition of gears can be compromised by transmission troubles, while braking efficiency may decline due to wear and tear on brake pads.

Moreover, as pointed out in online resources, the commonality of recalls for airbag issues alongside transmission problems underscores a pattern of technical snags that could lead to serious safety concerns. Data indicating a considerable number of recalls and complaints across several models supports these revelations, with the 2003 INFINITI FX35 and G35 topping the charts for their recall and complaint numbers, respectively.

Despite the brand’s strong reputation for reliability, as supported by J.D. Power ratings for models like the Q50 and QX80, INFINITI’s consistent issues with CVT problems, Takata airbag recalls, and crankshaft angle sensor failures indicate a need for potential buyers to approach with caution. Specific models like the 2014 Q50 and the 2017 QX60 have been flagged explicitly for steering and transmission issues, highlighting years and models that might be best avoided.

“Don’t ever buy INFINITI,” expressed one commenter in the video. “My Q50 red sport engine blew up at 70,000 miles a few months ago. Took excellent care of the care. Infiniti is absolute garbage.”

On the flip side, another person wrote, “Crazy thing INFINITI’s are very reliable. I can say that I’ve owned 3 2, built one stock, and had regular maintenance. I think I will only change the water pump.”

“My cousin has a 2013 G37. It has 130,000 miles; he states no issues so far,” wrote a commenter. “My G35 [has] 189k miles—original transmission, original motor—drives like a dream still,” said one proud owner. [Fixing] the water pump is a fact,” claimed another person. “Coolant components, in general, are terrible on INFINITI and Mopar, lol.”

These revelations from mechanics and online resources serve as a cautionary tale for those enchanted by INFINITI’s allure and underscore the importance of warranties and diligent maintenance. Extended warranties and regular check-ups can be instrumental in navigating the ownership of an INFINITI, ensuring that the luxury and performance promised by the brand do not come at the cost of reliability and peace of mind.

Guy Rents His Room Out To A Co-Worker, But Things Turned Sour When The Hot Water Went Out For 3 Days

Roommate Hotel Hot Water AITA Guy Rents His Room Out To A Co Worker, But Things Turned Sour When The Hot Water Went Out For 3 DaysRoommate Hotel Hot Water AITA Guy Rents His Room Out To A Co Worker, But Things Turned Sour When The Hot Water Went Out For 3 Days

Renting out your room to someone you don’t know is a literal game of chance.

Who hasn’t either been through a frustrating situation with a roommate or at least heard of one?

Would love to see that pie chart.

Well here’s a story about jumping to conclusions, where open communication would have fared way better.

I rent out the spare bedroom in my house for $800 a month (market rate in my area). I don’t know my roommate very well, but we work for the same company.

I work early mornings and she works late evenings. So we’re often ships passing in the night.

On Friday my hot water heater broke. The home warranty guys said they couldn’t get anyone out until Monday morning. It’s hot as balls right now, so I wasn’t too upset. A few cold showers won’t kill anyone.

Hmm. So he reached out and gave a heads-up.

All seemed to be fine.

I texted my tenant “hot water is out until Monday” and she responded 👍.

I didn’t see her all weekend, which is normal, as I said. The guy got here at 8AM to fix the heater. When he was done I texted her to let her know the hot water was back on.

Then the text hammer drops.

Everyone knows that feeling: a text that pauses time around you.

She hits me with this gem. “My hotel bill was $250. Do you want to reimburse me now or deduct it from next month’s rent?”

I stared at the text for a good while. I didn’t even know she was gone. She got a hotel room just for hot water? That’s so extra. She could have showered at work, but she got a hotel room?

I texted “hey, I didn’t know you left. Rent is still due in full on the first of the month, regardless of if you choose to sleep elsewhere for a weekend.”

But she kept pushing.

She texted me back “there was no water. I couldn’t stay there. You’re my landlord and have to provide me with livable accommodations.”

I texted back “there was water, just not hot. If it was winter, you might have a point. Rent is still due in full. Failure to pay rent will result in me filing with the court, which will impact your credit.”

His response ended the conversation, but now he’s wondering…

She stopped responding. I texted a friend who said I was way too harsh and should have just countered with a $50 discount for those two days or something.

Which, sure, if she’d asked for a $50 reduction that would have been reasonable. But I’m not paying for her hotel and the audacity of her to ask me p****s me off.

But I know jumping to talking about filing a thirty days was a bit dramatic. Was I TA?

That’s such a tough situation that really depends on a lot of varying factors.

But the comments section was there for the votes!

It was a wide variety, but ESH felt like a pretty good over-arching vote here, like this person’s.

50 Little Luxuries To ~Elevate~ Your Daily Routine

It comes with an insulation sleeve, cleaning brush, and recipe booklet!

My former colleague Britt Ross says, “I am one of those people who has, until recently, gone through life thinking, ‘Why would I drink water when there are other beverages that actually taste good to be had?’ Well, I received this gizmo as a birthday gift from my water-loving husband as a not-so-subtle hint to change my ways, and lo and behold, it’s been a revelation. I often have lemon remnants left over from cooking and baking, and they’re the perfect things to throw into the infuser section of the bottle to liven things up. It’s amazing what a little fruitiness can do — I can guzzle a whole bottle easily! Plus, it’s much easier to clean than you’d think (each section comes apart and there’s an included brush!), and there’s a grippy section on the side so it doesn’t slip out of your hand. Oh, and did I mention it has not ever leaked?! 10/10, no notes, buy it NOW!!!”

Promising review: “This is my new obsession! I can’t believe how much joy a little thing like this can bring, but I just love it! I love experimenting with new fruit and herb combos (orange/blackberry/mint, and lemon/ cucumber are my favorites so far). I drink much more water now, and my skin is glowing! And it’s so cheap but feels so fancy. Buy it, of course!” —Kindle Customer 1

Joe Budden Believes Drake Is Secretly ‘Getting Paid’ To Promote Sexyy Red And Doubts The Duo’s Friendship

Despite his ongoing spats, a public co-sign from Drake can catapult any rising musician to mainstream success.

The “You Broke My Heart” rapper’s latest muse, Sexyy Red, has undoubtedly seen a boom in her career. Their time on the road, recorded collaboration (“Rich Baby Daddy“), and flirty energy have made them a fun fixture for music fans. However, Joe Budden doesn’t believe any of it.

On March 28, the podcaster told his co-hosts that he believes Drake is secretly “getting paid to promote Sexyy Red.” Budden’s criticism didn’t stop there. He went on to say that he also doubts the fawned-over friendship presented by the entertainers online.

Although another member of the panel quickly agreed. Trevor “Queenzflip” Robinson pushed back. “Quick, real, quick, real quick, you said this ‘paid on somebody’s deal,’” he said. “Is this confirmed, or is this just some inside sh*t that you are saying?”

Budden quickly snapped: “Oh, you think [Drake] just likes being around Sexyy Red?”

The truth is yet to be determined. But given the extravagant gifts, including cash and lavish purses, Drake gave to Sexyy Red and his appearance in her recent “Get It Sexyy,” they seem to be fine in their friendship.

‘I prefer my $270 payment’: Woman says she pays $650 a month for car. But it doesn’t come with CarPlay

Woman says she pays $650 a month for car. But it doesn’t come with CarPlay

Since the pandemic, cars have become more and more unaffordable. Data shows that since 2020, for instance, used car prices have soared up to 38%.

With that in mind, you can’t really blame TikToker @gbaby for being proud of her four-wheeled deal. In the clip, which has now amassed over 200,000 views, she gives viewers a mini-tour of her Lexus.

“If you’re ever wondering if the 650 dollar car payment was worth it… Trust me girl, it is worth it,” she said. “Red seats in this hoe, also don’t have Apple CarPlay though because Lexus is so outdated but everything else is worth it.”

CarPlay, which helps users play music or take calls in their car via Siri, was released in March 2014. Since then, it has become a staple and necessity for most car owners, so viewers were naturally shocked by @gbaby’s admission.

“$650 with no Car Play is crazy,” one commenter wrote, with another dubbing it “diabolical.”

“I do prefer my $270 payment,” a third commenter flexed, while a fourth added, “Idk my $0 car payment is pretty nice.”

@gbaby.com This is your sign to get the car #cars #carsoftiktok #lexus #lexuslovers #justagirl #girlythings ♬ original sound – gbaby

But just because the car had no CarPlay, that doesn’t mean that it’s old—@gbaby explained in a comment that the car was a 2018 Lexus. Yet, ultimately, the comments section had already made their mind up by then.

This isn’t the first time the CarPlay feature has gone viral on TikTok. In March 2022, user Will Harrigan shared an impassioned message he got from his wife Ang via CarPlay regarding moving their coffee machine at home. He captioned the video with the message, “If you’re considering getting married or moving your coffee machine…DON’T.”

“I just went to move it back to where it f*cking goes and the coffee grinds that you left in there to the coffee you didn’t even f*cking drink just went all over the floor that I just swept and mopped,” the message says. “And now I can’t even get it off because I’m trying to sweep it and the coffee grinds are wet so it’s sticking to the broom so every time I put the broom down, it just spreads and spreads and spreads.”

The TikToker didn’t immediately respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment via TikTok comment.

Medical Problems Cause Husband To Wet The Bed, But He Refuses To Wear Diapers. So His Fed-Up Wife Humiliates Him In Front Of Their Children.

Source: Reddit/AITA/PexelsSource: Reddit/AITA/Pexels

Some medical problems don’t just take a toll on your physical health, but your mental health too.

Problems like adult incontinence leave people who suffer from it feeling embarrassed and out of control of their own body.

On top of that, it can lead to uncomfortable situations in public with their family and friends.

But all that considered, there is no excuse for this user’s husband’s behavior!

After health issues left him incontinent, he refused to wear a diaper which resulted in OP losing her temper and berating him in front of their kids!

Did she go too far? See for yourself!

My husband was staying at the hospital for some health issues. After he got out he started wetting the bed every few nights.

We talked to the doctor about it and they gave us meds but they take time so they suggested that my husband use adult diapers temporarily.

He said no, and since he’s too sick to do anything then I’m the one having to clean up every time.

I grew tired of it. He just kept wetting the bed and not even considering diapers at this point.

But after one morning too many of waking up to wet sheets, OP decided to let her husband have it.

Yesterday morning was my final straw…

I saw that he’d wet the bed again and I just kind of went off.

I kept talking but it’s like he wasn’t hearing me at all because he just kept staring at the wall.

But soon OP’s children came to see what their parents were fighting about.

The kids heard the fuss and came in asking what was going on. I showed them the state the bed and sheets were in and said:

“See, your dad keeps wetting the bed and throws a tantrum when asked to wear a diaper”.

They stared and my husband looked shocked. He had them leave the room then said I shouldn’t have done that.

In my defense I wanted to defend myself because I thought it was unfair when the kids accuse me of yelling at their dad “for no reason”.

But OP’s husband said she completely demeaned him in front of their kids.

He said I humiliated him in front of his kids and made him feel terrible.

I told him he can be less embarrassed and feel less terrible when he stops wetting the bed like he was a child.

He started crying saying he’s struggling with his health and said that I was being cruel and descendant towards him.

And that now, I’m “trying” to turn the kids against him as well as shame him in front of them.

When OP’s sister came to visit, she said she understood OP’s pain, but she still went to far.

My sister visited and when I vented to her about it she said she understood but I was still in the wrong for getting kids involved.

I’m feeing conflicted on whether I did the right thing maybe to get him to understand how this has been affecting me as well.

AITA for this?

No one wants to wake up in a wet bed, but saying all that in front of your kids definitely crossed a line.

Reddit was split on this one, but this person was sure on one thing, family members shouldn’t be caregivers!

Source: Reddit/AITASource: Reddit/AITA

And this user said the husband’s behavior was ridiculous when there’s any easy solution to stop making a mess.

Source: Reddit/AITASource: Reddit/AITA

And this user said even if he didn’t want to use diapers, there were other options he could consider.

Source: Reddit/AITASource: Reddit/AITA

This caregiver said she couldn’t imagine how frustrated she would be if her family member refused to wear diapers after so many accidents.

Source: Reddit/AITASource: Reddit/AITA

And finally, this user said the only problem in this story was her husband’s ego!

vv

I feel for how embarrassing this is for the guy, but isn’t it more embarrassing to make your wife clean up after you?

Seems like everybody is in the wrong here…

If you thought that was an interesting story, check out what happened when a family gave their in-laws a free place to stay in exchange for babysitting, but things changed when they don’t hold up their end of the bargain.
