Drake Bell Has Talked To Rider Strong After Slamming Brian Peck Support

“I was sleeping on the couch where I usually sleep, and I woke up to him… He was sexually assaulting me. And I froze and was in complete shock and had no idea what to do or how to react,” Drake said in the docuseries.

It’s important to note that elsewhere in the docuseries, Drake also addressed his own 2021 legal trial, where he was charged with attempted endangering of children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He pled guilty to both charges and was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service. Drake detailed spending years in therapy and treatment as he discussed the trial.

Inside Matt and Amy Roloff’s DAAA Fundraiser Preparations (EXCLUSIVE CLIP)

“Amy is stubborn,” Matt says with a chuckle, sitting beside his ex-wife, who seemingly does not find his comment funny.

Things you probably never expect to do things with your ex: Plan a major charity event together in your previously shared home. But for TLC mainstays Matt and Amy Roloff, it’s happening.

Season 25 of Little People, Big World has been centered around a fundraising event for DAAA (Dwarf Athletic Association of America), an organization near and dear to Matt and Amy. In fact, they met at a DAAA event back in 1986.

But ever since their 2016 divorce, Matt and Amy have found new love. Matt is currently engaged to Caryn Chandler, while Amy is married to Chris Marek. And now, the four of them must work together to pull this fundraiser off.

Ahead of the new episode premiering on April 9, Distractify got a sneak peek at what to expect during the latest episode. And oof, tensions are definitely getting high between these exes.

Matt Roloff seemingly thinks ex-wife Amy is overstepping her boundaries as they prep for the DAAA fundraiser event.

During Season 25 of Little People, Big World, Matt has agreed to help Amy host a fundraiser for DAAA (Dwarf Athletic Association of America) in the Roloff Farms wedding barn. This event is scheduled to include an auction and a live band.

But of course, it’s been a minute since Amy has lived at Roloff Farms, and now what used to belong to her is all Matt’s and partially Caryn’s. However, that isn’t stopping the reality star from taking charge, as seen in the exclusive clip above from the April 9 episode.

“Amy is stubborn,” Matt says with a chuckle in a confessional sitting beside Amy, who does not find his comment funny.

She tells Matt that his red stagecoach, which is currently parked in the barn, among other things, needs to go stat. “Amy wants me to move the stagecoach and I don’t think she has any idea on what goes into an event like this,” he remarks in a later confessional, seemingly fed up with his ex-wife.

At the end of the clip, Amy directly says to Caryn, “You need to have him move as much of that stuff out of here and do that,” to which Caryn says, “OK.”

Also, during this episode, Zach and Tori’s son Jackson will attempt to ride a horse, following through on his promise to his mom in an earlier episode. Will things go smoothly on both ends? We’ll just have to tune in to find out.

Watch Little People, Big World on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.

Braids for Cole — What Happened to Prompt the Movement?

Native American actor Cole Brings Plenty, known for his role in ‘1923’ was found dead on April 5, 2024. The Native community called for a tribute.

With the final episodes of Yellowstone on the horizon, fans aren’t eager to see the critically acclaimed series end just yet. Luckily, there are still plenty of spin-offs that take place within the same continuity to keep viewers satiated in its eventual absence. One of them is 1923. This prequel series follows a past generation of the Dutton family as they endure pivotal moments in U.S. history such as Prohibition and the early days of the Great Depression.

The series features several prominent white actors, but it also offers a spotlight on Native American and Indigenous actors and artists. One of them was Cole Brings Plenty (Mniucouju Lakota), who portrayed Pete Plenty Clouds on the show. He had a guest role in Season 1, which premiered in late 2022 and ended in February 2023. As of April 2024, however, his name is being honored after a sudden tragedy with the Braids for Cole movement. What happened to Cole Brings Plenty?

Article continues below advertisement

Actor Cole Brings Plenty is being honored posthumously with the Braids for Cole movement.

On the morning of Friday, April 5, 2024, Cole was found dead in Johnson County, Kan. The Kansas County Sheriff’s Office reported that his body was discovered in the woods close to an abandoned vehicle. He was 27 at the time of his death.

According to several reports, he was identified as a suspect in a domestic violence dispute. Some also claim that in a related incident, his braided hair had been cut off, which is highly offensive in the Native American community.

Shortly after the news, members of the Indigenous-led Rising Hearts organization started the “Braids for Cole” movement, which takes place on April 8, 2024. Supporters are encouraged to wear their hair in braids or otherwise share social media posts of braided individuals in solidarity for Cole in the wake of his passing. Braids are considered sacred in Native American communities, so people are being asked to honor both Cole’s life and his heritage.

Article continues below advertisement

Is there a reported cause of death in Cole Brings Plenty’s case?

As of this writing, there is no known cause of death. Kansas authorities are currently investigating the situation.

However, Cole’s death has rekindled discussions on the unjust and disproportionate murders of American Indians and Alaska Natives happening all over the country. According to studies conducted by the U.S. Department of the Interior Indian Affairs, American Indian and Alaska Native men and women both experienced the second-highest rate of homicides in 2020.

In 2024, the murder of Nex Benedict — a non-binary teen of Choctaw Nation descent — became a topic of national concern for both Indigenous tribes and the transgender community.

As many continue to stand in solidarity for the Native American community in the U.S., people now mourn the loss of Cole Brings Plenty in the same breadth.

Driver Warned People Against Buying Hyundai Cars After She Got Three Of Them Stolen. – ‘I have nightmares all the time.’

Source: TikTok/@jorlala

I think it’s safe to say that this woman has had it with the brand of car that she owns…

She posted a video on TikTok and warned viewers to avoid a particular brand of automobile because she’s had nothing but trouble with hers.

The text overlay on her video reads, “My car was stolen AGAIN last night…DO NOT BUY HYUNDAI.”

She explained, “Tomorrow, it will be one year since my Genesis was stolen, which was like my dream car. I still can’t even believe that was a year ago. And, like, it’s horribly poetic that last night, my car was stolen again.”

Source: TikTok/@jorlalaSource: TikTok/@jorlala

She continued,

“That is the third time my car has been stolen in less than a year. My Genesis was completely totaled when it was taken, so I ended up getting my Elantra. Shouldn’t have gotten another Hyundai, clearly. My Elantra was stolen right after my Genesis—June or July. Yeah, it was stolen again last night, and it just sucks because I feel like all weekend I was talking about it.”

She added, “Ever since my car got stolen the second time, it’s been literally traumatizing. I have nightmares all the time of getting my car stolen. I keep having this reoccurring nightmare where I walk out to my car, and there’d be notes in it … and then, it happened again.”

She ended her video by saying, “This is just a PSA: don’t buy a ******* Hyundai. Because it will get stolen. Three times. In less than one year.”

Wow!

J. Cole Called Dissing Kendrick Lamar The ‘Lamest Sh*t’ Of His Life And Actually Thinks He’s ‘The Greatest’

Getty Image

J. Cole took the stage at Dreamville Music Festival in North Carolina on Sunday, April 7, where he used part of his set to address regret about dissing Kendrick Lamar in his recent song, “7 Minute Drill.” He had initially dropped it after Lamar’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

“It’s one part of that sh*t that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest sh*t I did in my f*ckin’ life, right?” J. Cole said. “And I know this is not what a lot of people want to hear… I just want to come up here and publicly be like, bruh, that was the lamest, goofiest sh*t. I say all that to say it made me feel like 10 years ago when I was moving incorrectly. And I pray that god will line me back up on my purpose and on my path.”

J. Cole then went on to point out just how talented Lamar actually is — and talked to the crowd directly who felt the same. “I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherf*cker’s to ever touch a f*ckin’ microphone?” he added. “Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I.”

The tension between J. Cole and Lamar, according to Variety, first started when Drake and J. Cole collaborated on “First Person Shooter” — and included a line calling him out in the process. Unlike J. Cole, in the days following Lamar making waves with “Like That,” Drake has not really responded.

Check out a clip of J. Cole feeling bad and praising Kendrick Lamar below.

‘The X-Files’ Reboot From Ryan Coogler: Everything To Know About The Planned Series And Possible Return Of Gillian Anderson

Getty Image / 20th Century FOX

Hollywood doesn’t have many “guarantees,” but there is one certainty that will always prevail: every successful franchise will be rebooted, revived, or remade at some point. Most recently, that includes the new Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal, yet if we’re being more optimistic and longevity minded, then Cobra Kai remains the contemporary template for harnessing both nostalgia and appeal for new generations, and for a reimagining, Donald Glover’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith can provide inspiration. Can Black Panther writer and director Ryan Coogler hope to hit these latter two high bars with his planned reboot of The X-Files and also avoid the unimpressed reactions already being directed towards the upcoming reboot of The Crow?

The truth is out there somewhere. Fox Mulder would want us to believe, after all. Let’s get down to extraterrestrial business on what we know so far.

Plot

The X-Files reigned as a 1990s sci-fi monarch and ran for eleven seasons (including a two-season continuation beginning in 2016) and multiple movies. The series honed the Unresolved Sexual Tension for as long as it could hold out, and the FOX audience tuned in weekly for Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully’s (Gillian Anderson) believer-skeptic/special-agent dynamic.

How would a reboot go, and where will it land?

Coogler currently has a five-year deal with Walt Disney Television, so this series will remain in the original family. However, Variety reports that this show will probably land on Hulu, given the Disney acquisition of 21st Century Fox, which produced and propelled the original series to its FOX home. Additionally, series original creator Chris Carter has given his blessing to the project: “I just spoke to a young man, Ryan Coogler, who is going to remount ‘The X-Files’ with a diverse cast. So he’s got his work cut out for him, because we covered so much territory.”

While speaking to Inverse, Carter mentioned that the reboot will be especially difficult because, these days, “Everything’s a conspiracy… No one knows what the truth is. It’s completely subjective and relative now.” However, Carter sounds confident in Coogler’s vision:

“I just asked him what his ideas were, and he told me, and I said, ‘Those sound like good ideas,’” Carter said. “No matter what, he’s got a hard job. Casting is a hard job. Mounting it is a hard job. All the problems that I dealt with are going to be his problems.”

Cast

Officially, this category remains a mystery. A promising tidbit has arrived, however, from Gillian Anderson, who has always been resistant to the idea of joining a reboot until she heard about Coogler’s involvement. This month, Anderson told TODAY that she finds Coogler to be a “brilliant, brilliant director,” and “I cannot think of a better way around for a reboot to happen. I think he’s a bit of a genius.” She added that for Coogler, “I’m not saying no — because I think [he] is really cool, and I think if he did it, it would probably be done incredibly well, and maybe I’ll pop in for a little somethin-somethin.”

There’s also no telling whether frequent Coogler collaborator Michael B. Jordan will be involved in any way following their Fruitvale Station, Black Panther, and Creed eras. But admit it, Coogler devotees would not be mad if this development happened.

Release Date

Since these are early days for the project, the soonest we will see a potential release is 2025.

Trailer

A trailer? No way. The best we can hope for at this stage is that Coogler will write in a reference to the death of a character, who is maybe Fox Mulder, from autoerotic asphyxiation — just like Clyde Bruckman prophesied.

When Will Pat Sajak’s Last ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Episode Be?

Sony Pictures Television

After forty years of hosting the classic game show, Pat Sajak announced that this season of Wheel of Fortune will be his last. Unlike the scandal on Jeopardy!, finding a replacement was a relatively drama-free process as Ryan Seacrest was tapped to be the new host. While the idea to leave is tempting, Vanna White is going to stay on Wheel of Fortune where she’s become just as iconic a fixture as Sajak. (A long overdue pay raise didn’t hurt either.)

As for the exact date of Sajak’s last episode, Sony Pictures Television has kept that information under its hat — until now. The beloved host’s final episode of Wheel of Fortune has been confirmed, and we have the details.

When Will Pat Sajak’s Last ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Episode Be?

According to Deadline, Pat Sajak’s final episode will air on Friday, June 7. His last time spinning the wheel was reportedly filmed last week, marking the end of an iconic run that started back in 1981:

He originally was recruited by creator Merv Griffin to take over for the outgoing Chuck Woolery, having already hosted two unscripted game pilots called Press Your Luck and Puzzlers. In the 1980s, Sajak did double duty, hosting a daytime version on NBC and a syndicated version in the evening. When the show hit its 36th in 2018, Sajak became the longest-running host of any game show, surpassing The Price Is Right‘s Bob Barker.

Sajak will walk away from his iconic Wheel of Fortune hosting gig with three Emmy awards under his belt and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the TV Academy that he was awarded in 2011.

‘It bothers me’: Driver spends $35,000 on a Hyundai. It still has ‘poverty buttons’

Despite shelling out $35,000 for a new Hyundai, the owner is claiming the car has “poverty buttons” reminiscent of an older, less expensive car.

The very specific complaint comes from creator Coker (@cokermgmt), posting a TikTok video on Sunday getting close to 44,000 views in a single day. The creator assures everyone, “Don’t get it twisted,” adding “I love my car” and “I’ve never had anything this luxurious” in a comment accompanying the video, but it’s still concerning to the driver that he’s pushing a button that appears to be blank.

The hashtag indicates that he’s taken a Hyundai Santa Fe off the lot, and judging from pictures of the 2023 model on the Hyundai site, the button he’s pushing should allow for personalized heating and air conditioning fan speed control on the driver side. (There’s also one for the passenger side.)

While the 2024 edition appears to have some upgrades, it still has buttons for some functions as opposed to the touch screen controls that other car makers have gravitated toward. It also goes for close to $34,000 at the lowest base model, compared to around $29,000 for the 2023 edition that the creator appears to be driving.

Car and Driver‘s review of that car was generally positive but not effusive in its assessment of the SUV. “Hyundai interiors are best known for their solid build quality and worthwhile features rather than edgy designs and upscale materials,” the reviewers wrote. “Still, the Santa Fe has an attractive cabin that offers a variety of contemporary options that include a digital gauge cluster, head-up display, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and more. Last year, the Santa Fe received slight tweaks to the interior design that more closely aligned it with the larger and more luxurious Palisade SUV.”

Commenters came in with their takes on “poverty buttons” and car pricing in general.

“My car is literally the top trim model possible for the model and it still has poverty buttons,” one observed.

Another cracked, “PEASANT!” before adding, “Jk, maybe some of them are meant to be blank. My car has one, cause of how they changed the layout. It bothers me lol.”

@cokermgmt Don't get it twisted I love my car I've never had anything this luxurious #hyundaisantafe ♬ bounce (i just wanna dance) – фрози & joyful

One opined, “Girl it’s a Hyundai why are you paying 35k.”

But another asserted, “Y’all really need to learn how much cars cost these days.”

Someone else added, “$35,000 is still not a lot for a new car.”
