Thank U, Next Album Cover Parodies refer to a photoshop meme in the Ariana Grande fandom wherein people use screenshots from a home video Grande posted to Instagram in 2018 to make them appear as though they are the cover for her upcoming album, Thank U, Next.
On January 23rd, 2019, Grande revealed the cover for her upcoming full length album, Thank U, Next.
On June 24th, 2018, Grande had posted a video of black and white home movies taken from her family. The video is dated June 26th, 1996, and gained over 3.8 million views (shown below).
On January 27th, 2019, Twitter user @Tearskissy made a parody of the Thank U, Next cover using a screenshot from the home movies post, gaining over 2,500 retweets and 34,000 likes (shown below).
The tweet was boosted by Grande, who quote-tweeted it and wrote “yo honest to god …. i’d change it to this if i could.” She also put a link to the pre-order of her new album using the image made by @tearskissy (shown below).
Grande’s appreciation of the image inspired other fans to create similar photoshops. User @remdeluxe posted a screenshot that gained over 390 retweets and 5,500 likes (shown below, left). User @typicalari gained over 120 likes with their post of a pig as the cover (shown below, right).
Grande tweeted some of her favorite examples. One included an image of Aaron Simon Gross’ singing face, gaining over 3,700 retweets and 46,000 likes (shown below, left). Another of her Nonna gained over 6,000 retweets and 70,000 likes (shown below, right). The parodies were covered by Teen Vogue.

FaceTime is a video telephone application that has been supported on Apple products and iOS since 2011.
FaceTime was announced by Steve Jobs on June 7th, 2010. Apple bought the name “FaceTime” from FaceTime Communications, which is now named Actiance Inc.
FaceTime was first available on February 24th, 2011 for $0.99 purchase from the Apple Store. It was available for free on Mac OS X 10.7 and iOS after that. It is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Touch, and Mac computers.
FaceTime works by using Apple devices’ cameras to set up a video call between two Apple users. As of June 2018, it does not support group chat, though it has been announced that Group FaceTime will be available on iOS 12. Until iOS 6, FaceTime calls required Wi-Fi, and after that, calls could be made using 3G or LTE. An audio-only version of FaceTime was released in 2013.
On June 4th, 2018, Apple announced that Group FaceTime would be available with iOS 12. This meant that FaceTime calls could go between up to 32 people.
This was met with skepticism from critics and Twitter users. TheNextWeb said the feature looked awful, citing the negative space and warping faces coming to the forefront during Apple’s demo. Twitter users parodied what a call with 32 people may look like. User @en_hahaha joked that such a call would feature several interruptions, gaining 1,800 retweets and 7,500 likes (shown below, left). User @iamkickz joked the call would like the opening from The Brady Bunch, where all the characters are displayed in a grid (shown below, right). Jokes about the announcement were covered by Daily Dot and Smosh.
On January 28th, 2019, 9to5mac.com reported that they had discovered a bug in FaceTime which allowed users to hear audio form the person they were calling before that person accepted or rejected the call. The bug effects iOS versions 12.1 to later. 9to5Mac explained how to recreate the bug:
Start a FaceTime Video call with an iPhone contact.
Whilst the call is dialing, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and tap Add Person.
Add your own phone number in the Add Person screen.
You will then start a group FaceTime call including yourself and the audio of the person you originally called, even if they haven’t accepted the call yet.
Additionally, if the recipient presses the power button while the bug is active, their video will be sent to the caller as well. They reported that Apple stated it would address the issue with a software update later in the week. The bug was demonstrated by YouTuber MacRumors (shown below).
After the report, some Twitter users reported that Apple had disabled FaceTime from the server side. The issue even led New York State governor Andrew Cuomo to advise users to disable FaceTime until the bug was fixed (shown below).

E-Girl Factory is a is a series of TikTok parody videos in which users typically become captured in a makeshift factory and become transformed into an stereo-typical e-girl (an internet flirt) performed in sync with a clip from a bass boosted remix of the song “ME!ME!ME!” by Japanese DJ and producer Teddyloid.
On April 24th, 2015, YouTuber WolverryMusic uploaded a remix of the song “ME!ME!ME!” (shown below). The video gained 6,474,000 views and 67,000 likes in four years.
On January 27th, 2019, Daring Compilation uploaded the first “E-Girl Factory Tik Tok Meme Compilation” to YouTube (shown below). The video gained 8,860 views and 166 likes in two days.
The bizarre and frightening road rage incident you’re about to see began with a minor accident on a Massachusetts turnpike.
Richard Kamrowski, 65, says 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald drifted into his lane and tapped his car. The two men exchanged some heated words while exchanging insurance information before Richard claims Mark tried to drive off and flee the scene.
But Richard leapt onto Mark’s windshield since he was standing in its path. And instead of stopping, Mark kept driving down the turnpike!
For three miles, Richard held onto the hood for dear life, terrified he’d be run over if he let go — as Mark’s SUV reportedly hit speeds of up to 70 miles an hour!
Richard says he tapped into his survival instincts and managed to call 911 while clutching the hood. “I just kept telling him to ‘stop the car, stop the car’ and he wouldn’t stop. He kept going fast, slow, fast, slow tried to get me to slide off.”
The incident was captured on video by a female driver in another car.

Khemjira Klongsanun was running the Chombueng marathon in western Thailand. Everything was going smoothly… until about seven miles into the 26-mile marathon.
In the middle of the race, Khemjira noticed a small, trembling puppy just off the concrete. The other runners were trying to avoid the frightened bangkaew, or Thai wolf dog.
But while the rest of the athletes ignored the poor dog and kept on running, Khemjira realized she couldn’t just leave him behind.
So, she slowly approached the puppy and kneeled in front of him, bringing her run to temporary halt. Since there were no residences or neighbors nearby, it was clear to her the dog was either a lost stray or abandoned animal. She knew he wouldn’t survive the scorching climate on his own… but she was still in the middle of the marathon for she’d been training.
In the ultimate show of compassion, Khemjira picked up the puppy and shielded him from the sun with her towel.
And instead of quitting the race, she ran with the adorable dog underneath her arm — for 19 more miles!
Khemjira crossed the finish line while cradling the puppy. She took him home and tried finding his owner, but no one came forward to claim him.
But the story doesn’t end there. Khemjira adopted the lucky puppy and named him Chombueng after the race during which she saved his life. Amazing.
