With great Respect and Admiration for Turkey and the Turkish nation including their Film/ Drama producers , who have revolutionised thought about Islamic History and the past glory of the Muslims .
It is important to note that Modern Turkey has a deep Islamic tradition ,but a strong secular tradition too that arose after the Caliphate was abolished in the 1920’s.The common national attitude asserts that faith does not interfere with public / private spheres.
It was educative to observe how they live and let live , seeing President Erdogan a practicing Muslim , with his wife in Hijab attending the Nikah ceremony of Celel Al ( Abdur Rahman Ghazi with the latter’s wife veiled ).That was a great feeler about tolerance and freedom of conviction .
