While she hasn’t pursued a recording career, she has been known to perform in jazz clubs and other venues in Austin and New York City, the two cities where she and her husband, writer-director Alex Smith, split their time. She does appear twice, however, on the Nashville soundtrack.

In addition to the duet with Deacon portrayer Charles Esten, her character sang “Anywhere From Here” with the duo Lennon & Maisy.
