This weeks episode of Alparslan is fire š„
I have a few things to say about the characters but Iāll save gevhar for last.
1) The incompetent regent Sulaymans mess was easier to bear, because of sultan tugruls dream. There is nothing worse than a delusional ambitious fool, who occasionally projects his insecurities onto you. Poor Alparslan, sulayman projects his own jealousy of his brothers substance onto him. He truly believes Alparslan is jealous that he was made heir and ergo all of his objections to his incompetent decisions as acting sultan, must stem from an inability to support his position due to jealousy.
2) Count leo did come in galloping on a horse š and it wasnāt making sense that he was retreating during every skirmish with alparslan. His hype is somewhat redeemed by his taking of Vaspurakan lol. He kinda looks like Gundogdu from Ertugrul sometimes (is it just me?)
3) Erbaskan, took all those servant and alparslans alp rather than a melik jabs on the chin, until his wife gevhar did it. In one move he betrayed his ppl, lost his honour, worked with the kufar and munafiqeen, to set up his life long friends to lead them into an ambush; Alpaguts martyrdom is because of him. Now that they got his brothers gold, he was disregarded and called worthless. This man lost his dunya, izzah and akira with one move. I am still processing his fate.
3) Selcan, every selcan is on point āmy true son is the one who didnāt betray his fathers legacyā š«¶š¾ I felt for her so much during this episode, to feel helpless in protecting your husbands memory and all because of your own son. None of her blood kids took after her or their father. Except Alparslan whom she raised from childhood. Glad she has him and Seferiye. I loved Seferiyes awe of Caghri bey, and alparslans reassurance that his father too now. Considering her shame of her own for all that he did.
4) Gevhar, I didnāt like how this fool was blaming her husband for what he did, she may have not known about the ambush, and I donāt even fault her for going back with her husband into the castle (not because I agree with her, but I recognised her feeble mind May need more time for closure lol). What was most annoying to watch was her acting like she had no part to play in what he did, when she lit the match with her childish short sighted complaints. She injured seferiye giving the others power over them.
She like sulayman her brother, is another ambitious fool. What is it with fools and status seeking? is it a need to compensate for what they lack in substance via image. She is worse than sulaymans first wife karaja in my eyes.
I am glad this episode made her earn her Lās fully this time. All in the name of saving her husband, she leads disguised kufar into her brothers land and castle. Risking everyoneās lives, knowing they are going there to take the castle. She gives a fake apology about the previous āmistakeā just to earn the trust of the others, when what she is doing in that actual moment is 10 times worse. She conceals the plot of the enemy, then runs away during the fight. Sees seferiye is winning the fight & then goes and gets her baby. The baby she is an aunt to, to use as bait giving him to Leo, an enemy combatant. Just so that he can have leverage to get what he came to get. She single handedly is responsible for the loss of vaspurakan š°
I will scream if she is excused, karaja was exiled for way less. How many Ppl died because this girl didnāt stay in her no substance lane. She is no different than Seferiyes father now and his end was befitting of him.
I canāt wait to see what happens next. In one episode Alparslan lost everything because of his short sighted, impressionable and easily influenced siblings. I canāt wait to see his reaction to the followingā¦
*The fall of vaspurakan-& exile of his family
*The seizure of Samuri Castle š°because of his brothers š looking to get laid.
Sulayman even gave all of his fathers land and tribal base to a rebel. This man has no aql.
What kind of idiot is he.
Most of all I canāt wait to see sultan tugrul wake up from his semi coma, to this horror show. His biggest mistake was to make sulayman his heir.
He always showed calm poise and intelligence until he wrongly assessed sulayman and even compared him to himself.
Episode 45 I rate 10/10. The drama, the battle scenes, the cunningness, deception, betrayal, defeats, plot moving forward exponentially. It had me frozen in my love seat, feeling everything but love lol
