War in Asia and the Pacific, 1931-1945.
From Manchuria to Hiroshima, Asia-Pacific was at war between 1931 and 1945. In 1942 Japan reached its territorial peak. The Battle of Midway put an end to this expansion in the Pacific and from 1944 to 1945 the Americans took back the lost islands one by one.
