This was the best scene for me in episode 140. Yaqub is so funny to watch, I love seeing his fragile ego getting poked when he looks around and he feels slighted. His acting is 10/10 for me.
In pic scene, Osman just finished embarrassing him at his tribe by letting everyone know the mongol got away because of Yaqub. As he continues to address the ppl he asks for vasilius to be brought so they can settle issues. Yaqub rushes to re establish authority in his tribe so with firm ego summons veysel/vasilius. Only to be told he escaped and this same hand slowly goes down. lol the way he called for veysel wasn’t about the issue it was more to do with him being annoyed in moment because Osman looked like the leader of his tribe.
Side note: I think Alladin is the son Yaqub wish he had. Despite his devious character and impulsive behaviour, his eyes look most sincere when he compliments Alladin. He respects and admires him independently from his hate of Osman. If anything it adds to his hate because Osman has this son that he admires so much.
Mehmet is no Alladin. Yaqub sees Alladin use his wit and wisdom to deal with tough situations (like suggesting to remain in the tribe, suggesting Yaqub will take care of him as a guest) witnessing how he did it calms his parents, when a clash was imminent.
Yaqub is use to reigning in his impulsive belligerent son who isn’t good for optics lol
But Alladin? Alladin creates the best optics effortlessly. When he said in response to Yaqubs compliment “whatever wisdom you see in me, is credit to my father who taught me it” (paraphrased) was so quietly loud lol
Yaqub is in deep trouble now, I hope to god the sanjakless (btw what a name, imagine being called the flag less) expose he was behind the beys attack. I wanna see all the facial expressions Yaqub pulls trying to get out from that.
I blame Mehmet for influencing his father into this corner to act. Yaqub made himself vulnerable to exposure in this game. The sanjakless are a massive liability.
