This Toddler Can Fluently Count To Ten In Six Languages

How many languages can you count to ten in? One, maybe two? It’s not every day you meet a grown-up person who can easily count to ten in six different languages, let alone a 2-year-old person! Especially in America, where we often don’t start teaching languages until a child is already well past the developmental stage which makes it easiest for them to explore and pick up new languages.

That’s why it is such a surprise to be faced with a pint-sized prodigy like Hyla. Hyla is a sweet towheaded girl with a father who is half Serbian and half Hungarian and a mother who thinks it is incredibly important that her daughter learns not only about those languages, but a few others as well. Hyla’s mother has really put in the work to make sure her child is learning and practicing new languages including her father’s native tongues, but also a few others.

In this adorable and impressive video, Hyla seamlessly counts to ten in SIX different languages. Yes, you read that right. Six. She shows off her numerical and linguistic skills in English, Japanese, Hebrew, Spanish, Hungarian and Serbian and boy is she cute!

Her mother, Marissa told Newsflare: “I want her to know more than just English. Her father is half Serbian, half Hungarian and those are his first languages so she needs to learn a bit of them. She also knows Spanish because everyone should know some here in America, Hebrew because I am Jewish, and Japanese because…. why not!?”

Check out sweet little Hyla’s impressive skills, who knows, maybe you’ll learn something!
