They will start the story from the period when Salahuddin Ayubi was raised in the hands of Nureddin Zengi.
Director Emre Konuk summarized the story of the series as follows:
“Salahuddin Ayubi was born in the
39th year of the occupation of Jerusalem by the Crusaders. His childhood and youth were about how the Crusaders occupied Jerusalem, and what kind of massacres they committed.We begin the series by telling how Ayubi’s longing for Jerusalem grew and how the occupation of Jerusalem was an important issue and a deep wound in his life.
We will watch how he turns into a hero and becomes Salahuddin, how he and Zengi search for ways to free Jerusalem, and how they realize their dream of Jerusalem when the time comes.”
