The Guardians of Al-Quds: Birth of the Two Unwavering Defenders of Islam ⤵️
These are the two notable personalities who were famous for their magnanimity, conquests and determination. They appeared at a time when Islam was fading away and the enemy was in control of more than half of the World.
At that time, Muslims were divided into small territories and had very few sovereign governments. The caliphate in Cairo and Baghdad was only nominal. The Crusaders occupied Muslim territories for more than fifty years. They were outnumbered and had the support of Europe.
Muslims believed that they would live and die in this never-ending period of suffering and strife. In this critical period, two greatest Sultans were born, who raised the banner of the Holy Quran and awakened the people by reminding them of their freedom. The Muslims then gained the upper hand and eventually won a resounding Conquest.
When the Holy Qur’an is taken in hand, it becomes impossible to be defeated. However, deviating from the Holy Qur’an, committing injustice and following one’s desires are fatal mistakes that always lead to loss and downfall.
The purpose of the lives of Sultan Nur ad-din and Sultan Salahaddin was to bring people back to the Holy Qur’an and show them the way of salvation, for which they fought day and night against all kinds of enemies of the time, whether they were Crusaders, Jews or the murderous Assasins. They faced them and finally Allah Almighty blessed them with the Great Al-Quds as a gift.
May Allah grant us the courage to follow the path of our magnificent ancestors. Ameen 🤲
