Congratulations are in order for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra! Tyler took to Instagram to reveal that Catelynn has given birth to their daughter.
Alongside a photo of the baby’s chart from the hospital, the Teen Mom OG star wrote, “She’s here & I’m in love! 
.” The couple separately confirmed the news in an exclusive with Us Weekly, revealing their new bundle of joy’s name and her birth stats. Vaeda Luma was born at 9:34 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, weighing in at 6 lbs., 4 oz.
Vaeda joins big sister Novalee Reign, who recently turned 4. As shown on 16 and Pregnant, Catelynn and Tyler are also the biological parents of Carly, now 9, whom they placed in an open adoption when she was born to the then-teen parents in 2009.
The couple previously revealed their pregnancy news to Us in September, confessing that the baby was an unplanned but exciting surprise after Catelynn’s tragic miscarriage earlier that year.
“The big news is that we are expecting our rainbow baby. This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I’m super excited…. It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness,” she explained. “We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant. This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected.”
Fans might be surprised by Vaeda’s unique name. In an ultrasound filmed for the show, the couple told the ultrasound tech that they’d already chosen their new daughter’s name: Tezlee. Apparently, at some point between then and now, they opted to change their name choice for some as-yet-unrevealed reason.
It’s been a bumpy road for Catelynn and Tyler over the past year, with the two even starting couples’ therapy and opting to live apart for a while during the early part of Catelynn’s third pregnancy. For more on their brief separation, watch the video.
