Oh, do I have a weird story for you.
It all started on April 28 with a Facebook post by Nina Jochnowitz of Old Bridge, New Jersey.
She posted pictures of PILES of pasta next to a river basin.
“For us in the 6th ward it comes [as] no surprise when we see the dumping of construction and other garbage spewed in all of the neighborhoods. This week, there was a new type of dumping, of excessive food… PASTA,” she wrote.
“A good Estimate is more than 500 pounds of pasta [was] dumped adjacent to the streams intersecting with Hilliard and Mimi [roads],” she continued.
Nina posted the pictures on Facebook, and after she reported it, the township eventually cleaned it up.
After some days of uncertainty, it seems that the mystery of the dumper has been solved.
NBC New York is reporting that it was a military veteran who was getting rid of his mother’s stockpile of food after her death.
So, yep, another day in the good ol’ USA!
Hopefully we never have to see something like this ever again.
