Sarah Michelle Gellar has some strict rules in place when it comes to her children following in her footsteps.

In fact, Sarah and her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., say that they don’t want their children acting at all — at least right now, anyway.

While recently discussing their children, 13-year-old Charlotte and 10-year-old Rocky, the couple revealed that they won’t let their kids get in front of the camera until they graduate high school.

Apparently, they’ve gotten some pushback from Charlotte, who has recently developed a passion for acting.

“We have rules in place. She can’t be in front of a camera until she graduates high school,” Sarah told The Hollywood Reporter.

She continued, “She says to me, ‘That’s unfair. You were a child actor.’ Yes, I was. But I was not the child of two famous parents.”

Although they don’t want Charlotte to jump into the business right now, the couple does want to foster her love of entertainment — especially as they both recently returned to the world of acting.

“From my vantage point, Sarah always had the hunger to go back to acting,” Freddie explained. “I could tell from the way she watches TV, analyzing it, and how she talks about movies on the drive home [from the theater].”

He added, “Once our daughter started taking it seriously, both of us just instinctually wanted to show her the way we think it should be done.”

“Our rules are probably stricter than most,” Sarah admitted, adding, “Sometimes, our kids will be like, ‘You guys are the strictest household!’ But I say, ‘Yes, but everyone still wants to come here!'”
