#OnThisDay, we commemorate the Battle of Badr!
It is a historic event where under the guidance of the greatest leader, Sayyidunā Muḥammad ﷺ, alongside 313 companions while fasting achieved a miraculous victory over 1000 disbelievers. This momentous event serves as a testament to the Power and Magnificence of Allāh. It is through the bravery and unwavering commitment of these warriors that we today are blessed with the gift of Islām, the only true religion.
The Prophet of Allāh ﷺ stood in his tent all night long weeping profusely and calling upon the Creator. He lifted his blessed arms in supplication and said:
“O Allāh, if you destroy this small group of men (313), then no one will worship You ever again!” [Muslim]
The Battle of Badr holds profound significance in human history, as it firmly established Islām as the only true religion for all of humanity until the End of Time. We are forever indebted to the blessed and fearless Saḥāba, whose sole intention was to sacrifice everything for their beloved Prophet ﷺ and his religion.
May Allāh grant us the intercession of the Prophet ﷺ and make us servants to all the warriors of Badr, honoring their legacy and following their noble example.
