On this day in 2016 (July 15, 2016), an army unit in Turkey staged a coup d’état and attempted to seize parliament and government institutions, but were forced back to their original “borders” by a jealous populace. He said that you shoot at the enemy and not at yourself. Even the Turkish people became a leaden wall in front of tanks and bullets. During this time, more than 250 people were martyred.
