On this day (3 November 1618 CE), Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad commonly known as Aurangzeb Alamgir, the Mughal Emperor, was born in the city of Dahod, Gujrat province, India.

Sultan Aurangzeb Alamgir was not only an Islamic scholar, worshiper, ascetic, and revivalist of his age, but he was also a brave and tolerant king who was filled with Divine fear.

He ruled over India, Afghanistan, and Tibet. When Sultan Aurangzeb Aalamgir became king, the moral and social conditions of India were very dreadful.

Gambling, superstition, irreligious activities, impermissible tax, hemp cultivation, drinking, and fornication were common. Sultan Aurangzeb Alamgir overcame all these evils.
