On this day, (17th Ramadan, 624), the 1st major battle in Islamic history was fought.
It is a historic event where under the guidance of the greatest leader, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, alongside 313 companions achieved a miraculous victory over 1000 disbelievers while fasting.
This momentous event serves as a testament to the Power and Magnificence of Allah.
The Prophet of Allah ﷺ stood in his tent all night long weeping profusely and calling upon the Creator. He lifted his blessed arms in supplication and said:
“O Allah, if you destroy this small group of men (313), then no one will worship You ever again!” [Muslim]
The Battle of Badr holds profound significance in human history, as it firmly established Islam as the only true religion for all of humanity until the End of Time.
We are forever indebted to the blessed and fearless Saḥaba, whose sole intention was to sacrifice everything for their beloved Prophet ﷺ and his religion.
