Traveling has become even more stressful during the pandemic. Parents everywhere are now faced with having to navigate the difficulties that come with flying with children during such strange times.

Rachel Starr Davis recently boarded a plane back home to New Hampshire with her two-year-old son Lyon. but she says the trip was a real nightmare.

In a now-viral Instagram post, the 34-year-old mother recounted the trouble that ensued when her son refused to wear his face mask on the plane. She said she tried everything to make him wear it, but he kept throwing a noisy tantrum and just wouldn’t put it on.

“I tried repeatedly, begged him, bribed him, pleaded with him, did everything I could while he was screaming,” she wrote.

The airline says all passengers two years and older must wear a mask.

Rachel explained how frustrating and anxiety-ridden it felt to try and keep the mask on Lyon’s face in front of the crew and her fellow passengers.
