On that day, TikToker _iii_dont_know uploaded a video with the on-screen caption, “5th graders when they get a bf” (shown below, left). The video garnered over 1.2 million views and 226 thousand likes in 10 days. On the same day, TikToker serenity.that uploaded a video captioned, “6th grade girls when there(sic) bf of 2 days breaks up with them.” (Shown below, right). The video garnered over 2.5 million views and 395 thousand likes in five days.
As of September 28th, the original sound attributed to these memes has been used in over 4.1 thousand videos.
