One group of volleyball dads are going viral.

The Facebook post has been shared hundreds of times: Volleyball dads in Grand Haven, Michigan caused a few double-takes with their “team photo” featuring them dawning their daughters’ jerseys.

“My dad, he and another dad, decided to get all the dads together and put our jerseys on and take a picture,” Lexie Kallio said. The outcome was priceless.

“We stole our kids’ jerseys on Saturday, and showed up on the beach on Sunday morning,” said volleyball dad Roger Swierbut. To recreate their daughters’ team photo to a T, the dads had to complete one major feat: getting into ice-cold Lake Michigan. They even managed to book the same photographer.

The varsity coach knew something was up, but he didn’t know what exactly until he saw the now-viral photo—and he was all for it.

“It was just hilarious. The dads lined up with where the girls were,” said head volleyball coach Aaron Smaka.

These fathers weren’t just showing off their dad bods—they were showing their athlete daughters just how much they support them.  “It’s a fabulous group of girls and a great group of parents. So it’s a lot of fun,” volleyball dad Dave Whittaker said.

Their seemingly unembarrassed daughters couldn’t agree more. “They’re always cheering everybody on. They’re just the best dads ever,” Lexie said.
