“Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests” is coming to the screens with its huge production!
The series Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests, which is awaited all over the world and whose trailers attracted great attention from international audiences and broke sharing records on social media, draws attention with its huge production.
Many historical buildings were reconstructed in accordance with their original form in the series, which was shot at TRT International Film Plateaus. To be used in shootings; Many decorations such as Edirne Palace, Bursa Palace, Manisa Palace, Edirne Ball Casting Workshop, harem, harem garden, Hungarian and Serbian castles were built. Additionally, many other structures and places, along with the Mora castle, were added to this list.
On the other hand, for the first episode of the highly anticipated series, shooting was done for 10 days at Nour Cinema City, which is the most magnificent film set in Iran and specially prepared for the century of happiness projects. In the series, the world-famous Hollywood star Gassan Mesud, who won the hearts of the audience with the films Kingdom of Heaven and Pirates of the Caribbean, appeared in front of the camera for the character of Eyüb El Ensari, which will be reflected on the screens in parallel with the story of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror.

Approximately 3,500 supporting actors took part in the first episode, and 600 “stunts” served in different sequences. The art and creative teams prepared for six months for the shooting of the first episode, which lasted 30 days. 20,000 pieces of costume were produced for the project, in which four hundred personnel are currently employed permanently. A total of 1000 specially designed swords were manufactured in the giant production, including 500 Ottoman swords and 500 Byzantine swords. Accessories include spears, guns, daggers, arrows, bows, rifles, shields, maces, axes and other weapons. These accessories were redesigned with the consultants of the period and used with decors reflecting Ottoman, Serbian, Hungarian and Byzantine styles.
HUGE CHAHI BALLS ARE COMING…
50 Ottoman Shahi cannons, 50 Hungarian cannons and 50 ship cannons were specially made to recreate the conquest of Istanbul. In addition, 100 chalon rifles and their firing mechanisms were designed and produced in accordance with the period.
1000 pieces of Ottoman and Crusader armor were remanufactured using original materials, accompanied by special designers and consultants. Horse saddles were also designed in accordance with the period and reproduced together with horse armor and headgear.

“Within the scope of the project, 10,000 meters of fabric, 3 tons of paint, 1,000 cubic meters of timber and 10,000 meters of iron profiles were used for the decoration.
