The faculty member I met with spent the whole meeting swinging his golf clubs in his office, talking about how I should let this go and how I could ruin a young man’s life.
Those experiences where I went to get help and was basically told that the people hurting me were more important than me derailed me to where I am today. Now, whatever client I have, whatever they did, I treat them with the same respect that I would give anybody. Not that I condone the bad things they are accused of, but because I know what it is like to be in a bad situation and the only available help treats you as a lesser human.”
