Khloé Kardashian (and her sisters) have been promoting weight loss products on their social media pages for years. They’ve received an increasing amount of criticism for it, because while the products promise quick weight loss, they’re unhealthy and potentially dangerous.
Khloé partners with a company called Flat Tummy Co. They make teas and meal replacement shakes that are supposed to help you lose weight and achieve a flat belly by “detoxing” your system. And by detoxing, they mean making you go to the bathroom a lot. They’re laxatives, basically.
These laxative weight loss products aren’t good for you, experts say. They’re habit-forming, and they come with dangerous side effects and health risks.
Promoting these unhealthy diet drinks seems especially irresponsible for the Kardashians, who make their living off of their young and impressionable fanbase.
But for whatever reason (ahem, probably money), Khloé continues to unabashedly promote Flat Tummy Co. on her Instagram page. People are pretty fed up with it.
Her latest sponsored post has been flooded with critical comments, including many from people who are otherwise huge fans.
