When you think about celebrities who’d be fun to hang out with, Kelly Ripa tops the list. The talented mom has always been nothing but real, and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself every now and then. For example, who can forget her cameo on Broad City? Thus, it’s safe to say that when Kelly Ripa cries, we’re all going to jump in and try to make her feel better.

While the situation we’re all in has made us all want to cry at times, Kelly let loose during an in-home taping of Live With Ryan and Kelly. Both Kelly and her cohost Ryan Seacrest have been filming separately in their own spaces. However, the dynamic they have is very similar to when they’re both on the same set. Obviously, they’re both very comfortable with each other and willing to talk about anything.

The topic that lead Kelly to tears? Her parents. She confessed that if she could do anything right now, she’d hug her parents. It’s just something that she misses. However, at least two of her three kids are backing away from Kelly and not giving her the physical affection she really needs right now. It’s gotten so tough that she’s not on speaking terms with them.

Sure, it’s great that they’re practicing social distancing. But since they’re already at home with their mom, things are relatively safe. Kelly also wasn’t afraid to talk about her youngest son’s battle with anxiety. Her mentioning mental health is very important right now, as many of us are feeling the same struggles.
