When Jenna Bush Hager announced that she was pregnant with her third child in April, everyone was thrilled. From her Today co-host, Hoda Kotb, to her daughters, Mila and Poppy, to her fans, everyone was excited for Jenna and her husband Henry.
Of course, nobody was as excited as her parents, former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush. Although they absolutely adore their granddaughters, they’re very excited to welcome their first grandson.
Jenna told People that her parents couldn’t be happier about having another grandchild. “They’re over the moon about it,” she said. “Everybody is so excited.”
Jenna explained that her father is especially excited because this will be the first baby boy in the family. Laura and George W. Bush had twin daughters (Jenna and her twin sister Barbara) and Jenna has only had daughters so far. With this new little boy, Jenna says it will “be nice for him to have a little fishing buddy as well.”
And as for his name? The former president already has his choice picked out. “My dad keeps joking that we need to name him George,” Jenna told People. Although they’re sure to take her father’s opinion into consideration, Jenna says she and Henry haven’t picked a name for their son yet.
Henry and Jenna are expecting their baby boy any day now — we can’t wait to find out what they name him!
