If you like Bitmojis, you’re in luck. Facebook’s new avatars are drawing on the craze. The social media giant rolled out its latest feature on May 13 in the US.

Facebook describes their avatars as “digital personas that let people engage in a more personal, dynamic way.” There are plenty of customization options, including hair color, skin tone, and facial features, to help make your avatar resemble you in all your most distinct ways.

“So much of our interactions these days are taking place online, which is why it’s more important than ever to be able to express yourself personally on Facebook. Avatars enable you to share a range of emotions and expressions via a digital persona that’s uniquely representative of you, so we’re excited to bring this new form of self-expression to more people around the world,” wrote Facebook’s Fidji Simo in a post introducing the feature on Wednesday.

“With so many emotions and expressions to choose from, avatars let you to react and engage more authentically with family and friends across the app. It’s important to us that you can personalize your avatar so it represents your unique, authentic self, which is why we’re also adding in a new range of customizations, too —such as new hairstyles, complexions, and outfits.”

You’ll be able to use Facebook’s new avatars in Facebook messenger, where many users already enjoy Bitmoji stickers. You’ll also be able to use them in comments, stories, and gaming profiles. This is just the beginning. Facebook hopes to extend the feature to be able to be used in even more ways across the website, including in simple text posts.

Interested in adding an avatar to your own profile? You can go to Facebook messenger or the comments section on a post, click the smiley button, and go to the sticker tab. Then, click “Create Your Own Avatar.”
