Formerly Homeless Man Learns He Won $250,000 On Scratch-Off Ticket Just Before Christmas

It wasn’t too long ago that Diego B was homeless and living out of his car in Iowa. A few years back, Diego moved to Colorado where a friend helped him get back on his feet.

Since his move, Diego has been working hard at providing the best life he can for his six-year-old son.

The 31-year-old recently purchased a Willy Wonka second chance scratch-off lotto ticket for ten bucks, hoping for the best but not thinking too much of it. The Penny Hoarder describes second chance lotto tickets as this: “If you buy lottery tickets — drawing-style or scratch-offs — for certain games, your non-winning tickets can win you prizes in random drawings. Second chance drawings are available in 43 of the 44 states that hold lotteries.”

Just days after his birthday, Diego was at work when he was bombarded by folks from the Colorado Lottery Surprise. They had some very important news to share with the unsuspecting father…

…and you definitely do not want to miss his reaction.

Second chance, indeed!
