One of the best reunions this year was a surprise performance with Ashanti and Nelly.
The couple dated on and off for over a decade, meeting at the Grammys in 2003. Though we assume what happened, ahem, cheating, Ashanti did mention in several interviews that she was “betrayed.” Anyway, the former couple’s most recent reunion has me hoping a reconciliation is in the works.
Nelly just ended his last long-term relationship in 2021 with Chantel Jackson, which shocked many fans since they dated for seven years, maybe this means there’s hope for him and Ashanti.
In early August 2022, Ashanti made a surprise cameo during Nelly’s set to perform “Body on Me.” Let’s just say their bodies looked very cozy.
