They say you can find love in the strangest places. And, that apparently includes the grocery store.
Sabrina and Mervin were both at Trader Joe’s when they first met and fell in love. So, they felt it was only fair to get married at the same venue where they met. And since Trader Joe’s is one of the best grocery stores around, of course they agreed to host the big day. Or, at least one of them. The couple reportedly got married in July, but it’s unclear as to whether or not anyone was able to attend.
Many of Sabrina’s friends were likely present. That’s because Sabrina works at Trader Joe’s and initially bumped into Mervin in the frozen foods aisle. From there, a connection grew. It’s a unique love story with even more of a fun twist. Obviously, the two already had a lot in common — they both love the store.
“I really found a treasure here hidden at Trader Joe’s,” Mervin said. “I’m loving every minute of it.”
This must have been an even bigger perk for Sabrina outside of her employee discount. According to the company’s website, their employees are happy and confident for a reason — they’re paid well, have employee reviews twice a year, and even offer insurance plans to their workers. It may be why every Trader Joe’s Crew Member always seems so happy. And without a doubt, it’s likely how Mervin felt comfortable enough approaching Sabrina.
