Comparable City Climates to North America.
Method is comparing somewhat arbitrary scores comparing temperature and precip. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty good! Unfortunately lots of cities just don’t have anything comparable, or they’re the same as another city. Would love to get sunlight and humidity in there, but then there would never be a city match haha.
dT + dP = City Number for comparison
The closer the city numbers, the more similar they are.
Temperature comparison dT = |(H1 – H2)| + |(L1 – L2)|
Where H is the average highest daily maximum temperature in a month and L is the lowest average daily minimum temperature in a month. 1 and 2 are just the cities values of the cities being compared.
Precip or dP is just |P1 – P2| where precip is measured in inches.
