Brief history of Sultan Alp Arslan۔ 🗡️

Alp Arslan was a Seljuk Sultan who succeeded his uncle Tughril Beg. He ruled from 1063 to 1072. He was a very intelligent and brave king. Appointed Nizam-ul-Mulk Tusi as the Minister of the Sultanate on the recommendation of his father Chagri Beg. During his reign, the boundaries of the Seljuk Empire expanded greatly. He first included Herat and Jund (beyond the Nahr) in his territory. Then he defeated the Fatimid rulers and added Mecca and Medina to his territory. This increased the influence and power of the Seljuks in the Islamic world. When the Byzantines attacked, on August 26, 1071, they were decisively defeated in the Battle of Malazkurd. and arrested Caesar Rome Romanus IV.Caesar Rome not only paid war ransom and agreed to pay tribute. Instead, he gave his daughter in marriage to the Sultan’s son and gave him the territories of Armenia and Georgia. Khwarazmi was seriously injured by the sword of Yusuf al-Khwarizmi, the governor of Khwarazmi who was brought as a prisoner in a campaign against the Turks, and died 4 days later on November 25, 1072 at the age of 42. Alp Arslan was buried in Meru alongside the grave of his father Chagri Beg. 💞
