Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have officially broken up. The two have been romantically linked since 2013, but they never confirmed their relationship to the public.
Katie and Jamie first got together after she got divorced from Tom Cruise. Despite being a notoriously private couple, Jamie and Katie were often spotted out in public together. They were known to go on vacations together and pack on the PDA while out on dates.
“They never had a typical relationship,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “They have always been incredibly independent and their lives didn’t revolve around each other. They lived separately and in different cities and saw each other occasionally.”
Although their relationship may never have been super serious, it did last for six years. Now, Katie and Jamie have reportedly broken up. The source explained, “They are just both caught up with their own families, careers and obligations that their relationship had to take a back seat.”
According to Page Six, Katie went out with friends to talk about the breakup, and she said, “What Jamie does is his business — we haven’t been together for months.”
Although Katie and Jamie are no longer together, they both seem happy. And we shouldn’t necessarily rule out a reconciliation between the two — we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
