Artists on Spotify can make between $0.003 and $0.005 per stream — which isn’t much, but soon adds up if you’ve got a lot of fans.

So which songs across the world are receiving the most listens? And how does this reflect on artist earnings?

In a new study, analysts at NetCredit uncovered the highest-earning tracks in nearly every country around the world, based on local steaming data: https://www.netcredit.com/blog/most-popular-song-every-country/

The team calculated the total revenue of top-performing songs in each country according to Kworb by multiplying the total stream count by Spotify’s pay-per-stream rate of $0.005 USD.

NetCredit also broke down their findings by genre, identifying the highest-earning rock, hip-hop, EMD and Latin songs in each country.

I’ve prepared a press kit in case you want to learn more about the study, feel free to download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/t/y9KpUsvbwBhoV8H9

Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else you can’t find in the press kit.

Best,
