Khalรฎfe-i Mรผslimรฎn Abdul Mejid II was the 116th and final Islamic Caliph with a ceremonial role. He was exiled to Paris by Kemal Atatรผrk where he passed away in August, 1944. Turkish government refused to allow burial. He was burried in Jannat-ul-Baqi graveyard, Medina.
