Brittany and her two friends went for a morning jog along Dockweiler State Beach in Los Angeles.
They are Black, and say that despite the fact they’d never directly encountered a racist attack before, they have all tried to stay vigilant in the face of hatred and prejudice.
During their morning run, however, Brittany and her friends came face-to-face with racism… and it reportedly came out of absolutely nowhere.
Before they knew it, an unnamed woman began throwing racial slurs and insults at them in an unprovoked verbal assault on the beach.
The encounter, which they captured on camera, left them scared and shaken.
“She said Black lives don’t matter, your life doesn’t matter, you need to go back to Africa,” one of the women recalled. “She said I’ll get you the cheapest flight back to Africa.”
The woman even called police and lied about being assaulted. “I need a paramedic,” she cried. “I need an ambulance. My environment has been harmed by this African black person.”
