Who Is Ronda Rousey’s Husband? He’s Also a Famous Athlete

Olympic medalist and Stars on Mars contestant Ronda Rousey is one tough cookie! To date, she still holds the record for most UFC title defenses by a woman. She is ultimately one of the strongest women of all time, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a sucker for love.

Ronda’s husband is former MMA fighter, Travis Browne.

Travis, who hails from Hawaii, was a late bloomer when it came to competing.It wasn’t until 2010 that the UFC signed him at age 28. In his first 12 fights, he tallied a record of 8 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw in his initial 12 bouts. He became more popular after he made his debut on Season 17 of the popular reality series The Ultimate Fighter.

As for his career, it seemed it had naturally reached its end in 2017, after he found himself caught in a losing streak. He suffered losses against Cain Velasquez, Werdum, Derrick Lewis, and Aleksei Oleinik.

There was talk that he should retire and it seemed like Travis was listening to it. That said, he never officially released a statement about his retirement according to MMA Fighting but it’s pretty clear that he threw in the towel that year.

As for Ronda and Travis, they first met at their MMA gym, Glendale Fighting Club, as they were both trained under the same coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. They began dating in 2015.

After two years of dating, they married in August 2017. The ceremony took place in the groom’s home state where Ronda wore a backless, beaded gown by designer Galia Lahav.

Ronda became the stepmom to sons, Kaleo and Keawe, from one of Travis’s previous marriages. Then in 2021, she and Travis announced the news that they were having a baby of their own. In September of that year, they welcomed daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne.
