The 20th season of The Bachelorette is here, and we are ready to celebrate! This season is set to be kookier and more dramatic than ever. With Charity Lawson’s entertaining group of men (plus her undercover brother, Nehemiah), the first episode does not disappoint. Like in every The Bachelor and The Bachelorette season, the first episode ends with a rose ceremony. But when Charity is face-to-face with all 25 men, how does she decide who to send home? It’s never easy to send men home, but Charity does it gracefully by “following her heart.” So who is left to vie for Charity’s heart?

Who went home in ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 20, Episode 1?

The first episode of any Bachelorette or Bachelor season is always chaotic. We meet over 20 men (not one of them we remember, unless they’re either really charming or really weird) while we get accustomed to a new season lead. Sure, we met Charity during Zach Shallcross’s season of The Bachelor, but did we actually know her? Now we’re finally getting to see the side of her that fans and producers were so enamored with.

But while doing so, Charity is also faced with sending home several men, some of whom she never really got to talk to. So much of her Night One decision relies on the men’s limo entrances since those are Charity’s first impressions of them. But sadly, the first impression doesn’t go well for everyone.

Khalid Hassan came in hot, sharing that while Charity means love, his name means eternal. So put them together, and we’ve got eternal love! (Except, not really, since he went home). Joe Menzia was referred to as “very tall.”

Taylor Pegg took a risk by making a selfie video with Charity for his limo entrance, in which he said, “Alright kids, I’m meeting your mom for the first time.” Very romantic … if he’s the right guy … which he’s not.

Chris Spell can do all the backflips he wants, but they’re not enough to flip Charity’s heart. Pilot Peter Cappio (another Pilot Pete???) said, “Maybe we’ll be each other’s co-pilots on the journey to love.” And Nic Barber gave Charity the cheesiest line yet: “I’ve always been a fighter. I believe in fighting for you.” We guess Charity wants a lover, not a fighter (or a jumper).

Surprisingly, she kept Spencer Storbeck, who nervously sweated through his clothes while first meeting Charity and even gave the first impression rose to Brayden Bowers, against her brother’s advice. But who else is left?
