In the Season 7 finale, Felicity and Oliver are in hiding where they think they’re able to continue their happily-ever-after together for a while longer. But, unfortunately, The Monitor arrives to break the news to them. The Monitor tells Oliver that in order to save Barry and Kara, like he had promised, he will have to die in the upcoming “crisis.”
Clearly, this upset Felicity, but she and Oliver ultimately accepted his fate.
