Back in 1995, the legendary punk bank The Ramones performed their cover version of the theme song from Spider-Man on a rooftop in New York City. The original version of the song is from the animated Spider-Man television series that was on the air from 1967-1970.

The Ramones recorded the song for a compilation album released in 1995 called “Saturday Morning: Cartoons’ Greatest Hits.” The album also featured songs by Helmet, Sublime, Wax, Sponge, and others.

The Ramones were together from 1974-1996 and they played a whopping 2,263 shows together before they decided to call it quits. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
