Whenever I saw him with his axe , I would say “ Why man he doth bestride the narrow world like a Collosus”. A singular performance and aura set him apart .
In history TURGUT ALP was one of the warriors who fought for ERTUGRAL and his son OSMAN, the founder of the Ottoman Empire . His tomb is located in the cemetery of Genci village Inegol Turkey .
In the fictionalised story , Turgut ALP is portrayed by Cengiz koskun in DE and Ruzgar Oksoy in KO. ( both great performers) .
This post is about ERTUGRAL BEY’S TURGUT ALP…. What a very fine warrior and what panache . He set the screen on fire when in action , unparalleled presence . The way he acted out his ordeal in captivity and torture by the Templars was hair raising / solid .
