The First Preview For ‘A Very Brady Renovation’ Gives Fans A Sneak Peek At The Iconic House

The Brady Bunch may have gone off the air 45 years ago, but the interest in the show’s beloved cast is alive and well. The cast members are teaming up with some of HGTV’s biggest names to transform the home used for the exterior shots on the show. The new show, A Very Brady Renovation, airs on September 9. The goal is to take the inside of the home and have it match the home as it appeared on the hit sitcom.

“It’s gotta be right,” Maureen McCormick told Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner. “Especially [since it’s] the Brady house, because every person in America, they think this house is their house and it really is.”

The renovation has been going on over the last four months. The cast has posted a few behind the scenes shots to their respective Instagram accounts. The goal is to bring the ’70s vibes of the original interior, which was from a Burbank soundstage, to the home. They needed to add 2,000 square feet to make that possible.

“It’s really challenging because, unfortunately, so many of the things are gone,” Maureen explained, referring to the retro appliances, electronics, and design fixtures. Fans have pitched in to help, searching far and wide for some of those one-of-a-kind pieces to contribute to the project.

While there have been some tough spots, it’s great to see the Brady kids and their fans working together to recreate something that meant so much to so many people.
