Retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, known as “Shaq,” recently listed his lakeside Florida mansion for $22 million.
The 46-year-old basketball star bought the 35,000-square-foot house in 1993. The home is in a gated community in Isleworth, Florida, about 30 minutes from Orlando. It sits on the shores of Lake Butler.
Now, Shaq is selling the massive house for $21.9 million. So, what exactly would you get if you bought this home? A lot.
Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in the grand foyer, which is complete with marble floors and two grand staircases. The foyer leads directly to the great room, which is two stories and over 1,100 square feet.
Next up is the formal dining room, which is large enough for a table that seats 16. There’s also a chef’s kitchen with professional appliances, a stunning island, and a smaller dining table.
Like any large home, there are a number of bedrooms. The 12 bedrooms in this house are spacious and many have beautiful views of the lake. The master is complete with a gilded ceiling and mirrored wall, an enormous en-suite bathroom, and a massive walk-in closet.
If that wasn’t enough, there are a ton of amenities in the house as well. There is a cozy cigar bar and lounge, which has wine storage and a walk-in humidor. Of course, there’s also a home movie theater for at-home screenings. And you can’t forget about the game room, recording studio, home office, the memorabilia showroom, and the 6,000-square-foot basketball court.
Outside, there’s a private pier with two covered boat slips, a 95-foot pool, an outdoor BBQ kitchen, and a cabana that overlooks the lake. There’s also an enormous garage that’s large enough for 17 cars.
