Does ‘M3GAN’ Have A Post Credits Scene?

While the new year hasn’t been great for everyone, it’s been strong for the movies. Avatar: The Way of Water continues to make all the money, trouncing even Top Gun: Maverick. And the first weekend found a new kid in town: M3GAN, a Blumhouse horror film about a killer android. Not only is it doing well at the box office, but it’s also, maybe improbably, received even better reviews than some of last year’s most acclaimed films. Critics like it even more than Tár! It’s already getting a sequel, despite its titular antagonist meeting her end. But does it have an end credits scene?

The answer is: Nope. M3GAN just ends, like a normal one-off movie (albeit with the suggestion that other forms of technology shouldn’t be trusted either). Obviously you can stay through the credits; a lot of people helped bring the murderous doll to life. But there’s nothing else to see but names, song titles, logos, etc.

M3GAN concerns a high-tech toy designer played by Allison Williams who designs an android companion for her niece, who recently lost her parents in a freak accident. The doll is equipped with the latest in AI technology, which helps her comfort the traumatized kid — and also take out anyone who may upset her.

Producer James Wan, of the Saw, Conjuring, and Insidious franchises (and Aquaman), hasn’t revealed how the sequel will work. M3GAN herself wasn’t completely destroyed, so it’s possible to bring some version of her back to life. All he’s said is he’s always thinking of world-building, saying, “I don’t just think of that one story; I think of the bigger world.”

M3GAN is now in theaters.

The Weeknd Celebrated The Anniversary Of ‘Dawn FM’ By Sharing The ‘Is There Someone Else’ Video

The Weeknd‘s fifth studio album, Dawn FM turned one today (January 7). A year ago, the album was released after very little promotion, as The Weeknd wanted fans to hear the album as a cohesive body of work. During the album’s life cycle, songs like “Take My Breath,” “Sacrifice,” “Out Of Time,” and “Best Friends,” garnered enough popularity for them to become singles and fan favorites. Today, to celebrate the album’s anniversary, The Weeknd shared the video for “Is There Someone Else.”

In the video, he is seen peeking a woman as she dances seductively through a window. The woman then sneaks away, leading him to continue his search for her, by way of cameras and telescopes.

“Is there someone else or not? / ‘Cause I wanna keep you close / I don’t wanna lose my spot / ‘Cause I need to know / If you’re hurting him, or you’re hurting me / If I ain’t with you, I don’t wanna be / Is there someone else or not?,” he sings on the song’s chorus.

Shortly after the release of Dawn FM, The Weeknd took to Twitter and implied that the album was part of a new trilogy.

“I wonder… did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?,” he said.

It appears that a new era may imminent. Earlier this week, he seemingly teased that the next chapter may arrive soon, saying, “we’re just getting started…”

Jessie J Is Pregnant After Suffering Pregnancy Loss

The singer revealed the wonderful news on Instagram with an accompanying video documenting her journey thus far.

“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this…Please be gentle with me 🫂,” she wrote in the caption — and it’s understandable why there’s so much emotion in sharing the news.

In November of 2021, Jessie confirmed that she had recently suffered a pregnancy loss.

“I’m grateful that I got to experience being pregnant,” she said. “It’s opened the door for me to love myself deeper.”

Jessie concluded her recent pregnancy announcement by stating that she just wants to do her own thing while on this latest journey.

“Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate-covered pickle with no questions asked 🤸🏻‍♂️,” she wrote.

And Jessie’s celeb friends congratulated her in the comments — including Kehlani…

Billy Bush Kendall Jenner Sexual Comment Audio

Talk show host Billy Bush is facing another controversy involving leaked audio.

You probably remember the infamous Access Hollywood tapes, where Billy was heard on a hot mic agreeing with then-presidential-hopeful Donald Trump, who was talking about kissing and groping women.

Fast forward to January 2023 — another leak of Billy is making the rounds. But this time it’s from the October 31 taping of Extra.

In the newest leaked audio — given to The Daily Beast — Billy is discussing Kendall Jenner’s Halloween costume. Kendall went as Jessie from Toy Story.

“Kendall goes as Jessie and, believe me, there were a lot of woodies,” Billy said, as people in the room laughed along.

Immediately after the leak, Extra provided a statement to The Daily Beast, which read: “As with many forms of production in the entertainment industry, the show’s creative process allows the flexibility to try different jokes and banter.”

“In the end, some material lands on the cutting room floor, including remarks that may be too edgy to air on broadcast television.”

In the cut that made it to air, Billy wound up saying, “It’s going to be hard to see Toy Story the same way ever again.”

‘This is why my food didn’t make it’: Man says he gets free food at restaurants by pretending to be a DoorDash driver


A TikToker by the name of Deon (@deon.k.washington) posted a free DoorDash food “hack” that may have just inspired a bunch of folks to commit fraud.

In a clip, Deon records himself hurriedly getting into his car with a text overlay that reads: “Life Hack: if you walk into a restaurant and say the word ‘Doordash’ they’ll give you free food.”

In a caption for the video, he adds: “Follow me for more life tips & tricks.”

There have been a number of different DoorDash hacks that have circulated the web, especially on TikTok. One dasher, @simonfraser_, said that he effectively earns a couple of bucks for himself whenever he decides to buy some food from the restaurant he lives directly above by placing an order through DoorDash. He then accepts delivery of the order, to himself and gets paid from the application to do so in the process. Due to his close proximity to the restaurant, it’s probably a nominal amount, but he is still earning free money whenever he orders a meal for himself.

In terms of straight-up stealing food, there is another common scam that was highlighted in a 2022 Reddit post. Basically, people place an order through the application and then pick it up themselves while posing as a DoorDash driver, much like Deon suggested in his above-referenced TikTok. The difference is, however, that the scammer in question is “robbing” their own food. Since the driver assigned to the order will not have a meal to deliver to the customer, the order won’t go through, and the scammer can then file a complaint with DoorDash and say that they either never received their food or that it took way too long to be delivered in the first place, resulting in a free meal.

It’s hard to imagine that someone could consistently pull this con, however, as many speculate that DoorDash will “flag” an account that is constantly looking for refunds and meal credits.

The Daily Dot has reached out to Deon via TikTok comment and DoorDash via email for further information.

Other TikTok users who saw Deon’s post said they’ve tried this technique in the past and were successful in taking away grub from other customers who ordered and paid for it.

For instance, user @elledubx2 penned, “This is correct. I went to Chipotle and did this. Had an insulated bag and everything. I’m sorry Ciara but it was good.”

Some quipped that this is probably the reason why their food never made it to them in the first place, but there were also those who said merchants usually ask to see the Dasher’s phone in order to confirm that they are indeed the person who is supposed to pick up the order.

As one user wrote, “until they say ‘lemme see ur phone.'”
