Kylie Jenner Addresses Rumors That She’s Pregnant With Baby Number 2 With Boyfriend Travis Scott

0

Will the Kardashian-Jenner Klan be adding another baby to their ever-growing roster of tiny tots?

Social media queen and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner stirred up the rumor mill after she posted a photo on Instagram over the weekend with baby daddy and boyfriend Travis Scott. In the photo, Kylie is is sitting behind Travis and hugging him, all smiles of course, and captioned the photo, “baby #2?”

Naturally, fans freaked out. Could Kylie be pregnant with her second child already?! After all, the 21-year-old reality television star just celebrated baby Stormi’s first birthday on February 1 with a lavish party, complete with pink balloons and of course, previously unseen footage of Stormi over the past year.

It’s safe to say Kylie shocked the entire globe when rumors of her pregnancy started making the rounds in 2017, and to say her birth announcement video stunned the majority of Earth’s population is possibly the understatement of the century. Kylie, the queen of sharing her life with the world via social media, successfully hid her pregnancy from basically everyone but her family and close friends — an impressive feat for someone who usually posts every aspect of her life online.

So, after Kylie posted the aforementioned picture with that incredibly cryptic caption, is it any wonder fans freaked out over the possible baby announcement? Luckily for us nosey folk, the 21-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star addressed those rumors head-on in the comments of her Instagram.

Electrician Fixes Broken Heat For Free, Struggling Couple Lures Him Back With Fake Inspection

0

Stacy and Josh Lemonds returned home in the dead of winter to find their heat was suddenly not working. It was freezing cold in Oklahoma City, but there wasn’t much they could do.

The electric company pulled their meter and declared it a fire hazard due to the corroded wires. Stacy and Josh were prohibited from getting their electricity back until it was repaired and inspected once again.

However, both Stacy and Josh were out of work at the time. Down on their luck, they were struggling with their finances and didn’t have the means to make the necessary fixes. All they could do was pray.

Stacy and Josh reached out to their church marriage group to ask their community for some collective prayer. They were surprised when a man named Joshua Matthews personally reached out to them instead.

The couple had recently met Joshua through their marriage group. After learning Joshua’s wife was sick, Stacy and Josh brought some warm meals to his home. Little did they know their kindness would soon be repaid.

Joshua, who completed two tours in Afghanistan, currently works as an apprentice with Dane Electric. He offered his expertise to the struggling couple.

Joshua spent the next several days and nights working tirelessly to repair the Lemonds’ heat. He worked in the cold and rain, climbing up and down slippery ladders in the darkness.

In the end, Joshua and his company got the Lemonds’ electricity back up to code and made all the necessary fixes — at no cost to the struggling couple.

Days later, Joshua was sent back out to Stacy and Josh’s home for what he thought was a re-inspection.

Really, it was just a way to lure Joshua over so the Lemonds could present him with a huge and well-deserved surprise.

Kindhearted Stranger Sends Former Navy Dad Dying Of Incurable Brain Cancer To The Super Bowl

0

For many of us, the Super Bowl is an excuse to eat junk food all day, scream at the television, and critique commercials like we’re head of production at ABC. For Steven Skinner, though, this year’s Super Bowl could not only be one of the highlights of his life, but the fulfillment of one of his last wishes for him and his family.

Steven, who was in the Navy for 16 years and is described by those who know and love him as their “rock,” and someone who “always made time to stop and talk to you,” suffered what doctors thought to be a small stroke while on a business trip in December 2017. Unfortunately, when he was examined further by doctors, Steven was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare and incurable form of brain cancer.

Steven’s son, Andrew, told Inside Edition that around Thanksgiving of 2018, his dad was given only 4 to 6 months to live. That’s when he decided he was going to get his father to the Super Bowl — one of his lifelong dreams — one way or another.

Andrew set up a GoFundMe page to help make his father’s dream a reality. His original goal was to raise $30,000 for two tickets. “Not only is this the most opportune time for him to go to a Super Bowl but it is also his last opportunity,” Andrew wrote on the page. “If any family members, friends, friends of friends, colleagues could either donate or spread the word of my father’s GoFundMe campaign, my family would very much appreciate it. Prayers and good thoughts for my father would mean just as much to my family as well.”

Donations poured in (and are still pouring in), but it was a kindhearted stranger who really stepped up to the plate for the Skinner family. Andrew received a call from Mike Medici, president of Premier Transportation, who told him, “Drew, I can’t take you and your dad to the Super Bowl. But we can take your whole family.”

“I was speechless,” Steven’s wife Lisa said. “All I could say was ‘thank you’ over and over again. I told [Medici] I don’t know if he is an angel or Santa Claus because he is fabulous. Steven wanted to be known as a good dad, a good husband. This one year has been a really tough year for all of us… but this year was one for him to find he really did accomplish what he wanted to, and he is leaving this type of life he wanted to leave.”

Zoo Rejoices When Pregnant Cheetah Delivers Whopping Litter Of 7 Cubs For The Second Time

0

The cheetah is Africa’s most endangered cat. According to Jim Andelin, owner of Virginia’s Metro Richmond Zoo, the wild cheetah population has dramatically declined from 100,000 to only 7,000.

This staggering statistic is precisely why the Metro Richmond Zoo has had a strong focus on cheetah conservation. In the past several years, the staff has seen nine new litters totally 47 cubs.

The average size of a cheetah litter is about three to four cubs. But in an exceptionally rare birth, a pregnant cheetah named Vaila recently gave birth to seven babies at Metro Richmond Zoo.

This was Vaila’s second pregnancy while her partner, Kalu, is a first-time dad.

Vaila’s litter marks a huge step forward in cheetah conservation. Not only that, but septuplets among cheetahs only happens one percent of the time!

But the story surrounding this incredible mother only gets better… because as it turns out, this wasn’t the first time she blessed the zoo with multiples.

In 2016, Vaila delivered her first set of adorable cubs: a litter of, you guessed it, lucky number seven.

‘Slimeball’ Diner Walks Out With Porterhouse Steak So Restaurant Blasts Him Online For Payback

0

The staff at House of Beef in Oakland, California is always willing to help those less fortunate. If ever a hungry or homeless person should come in from off the streets, they’re more than happy to offer some food at no charge.

That’s not at all what happened on a random Tuesday afternoon, when an unnamed man wearing a suit walked into the House of Beef and asked for a table for four.

The staff says this man looked and carried himself like a used car salesman… or like the bad guy from an 80s movie. He sat down and ordered a $56 meal: a large porterhouse steak, lobster tail and 20-ounce beer.

The diner had shifty eyes and exhibited strange sudden movements, looking up at the camera and over his shoulder as if he was making sure no one was watching.

Suddenly, the man picked up his steak and watched the juice drip off onto the table. He looked back up at the security camera, then placed the steak into the linen napkin he swiped from the bread basket… and slipped the hunk of meat into his pocket!

The man proceeded to walk out of the restaurant with the porterhouse (but without paying) while a little girl seated nearby watched in utter confusion.

The bizarre scene was captured on the restaurant’s surveillance camera.

Now, the owner of the restaurant has decided to post the footage on social media. He’s on a mission to identify and track down the dine-and-dasher — not for the money, but for the principle of it all.

‘SpongeBob’s Super Bowl Tribute Blasted for Stealing ‘Sicko Mode’ Meme

0

So the SpongeBob SquarePants tribute that fans have been speculating about and clamoring for actually happened at the Super Bowl halftime show, but not in the way they expected. A clip from the animated series’ popular “Band Geek” episode was used to open Travis Scott’ performance of “Sicko Mode.” The short clip included Squidward assembling a marching band for Bikini Bottom’s “Bubble Bowl,” which is their version of Super Bowl.

But it appears organizers lifted the mashup idea from a college student’s viral tweet—and fans have noticed.

The halftime tribute did not showcase the song “Sweet Victory,” from one of the most famous episodes of the animated series. In the online petition for a “Sweet Victory” tribute at the halftime show following SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg’s passing in November—which has since gathered over 1.2 million signatures—petition starter Israel Colunga posted this update: “Sweet Victory (sort of). We did it. Even though we got YEETED with that ‘Sicko Mode’/’Sweet Victory’ mashup, it’s still crazy to think that 1.2 MILLION people signed a petition to get Spongebob’s face on national television. I know Stephen Hillenburg would be extremely proud and honored. Let it be known that 2019 was the year Spongebob reigned supreme at the Super Bowl.”

While fans celebrated the SpongeBob shoutout (some even think it upstaged Maroon 5’s performance), some people on Twitter believe user @anthonytrucco should be credited for the SpongeBob-“Sicko Mode” mashup idea. Trucco, a UC Santa Barbara student who’s a self-confessed SpongeBob superfan, first posted the mashup in September. He retweeted it after the halftime show, saying “No credit. No payment. No nothing. Everyone please RT until @NFL @NFLonCBS @CBS @nflnetwork addresses me. Thank you.”

(He has since updated his profile to read “Super Bowl LIII Halftime Performer.”)

The original post has since garnered over 412,000 likes and over 201,000 retweets. Even Nickelodeon and the official SpongeBob Twitter account acknowledged the idea back in September, with @SpongeBob tweeting “Well… looks like we found the next Bubble Bowl performer!”

Perhaps Trucco’s version was one of the memes CBS Sports referred to in its report, acknowledging how the SpongeBob-“Sicko Mode” mashup has taken over the internet: “But, like many SpongeBob references, it has recently regained popularity and entered meme culture thanks to the internet using it with Travis Scott’s mega hit ‘Sicko Mode.’ As it so happens, Scott will be joining Maroon 5 on stage as a guest performer at halftime. Perhaps the rapper will utilize the song as he takes the stage?”

As we have all witnessed, Scott did just that.

It’s hard not to notice the opener’s similarity to Trucco’s mashup—in the beginning, that is. While both open with Squidward and the animated marching band playing the song’s intro and showcasing the rapper’s vocals, we don’t actually see SpongeBob lip-syncing “Sicko Mode” at the Halftime Show.

Trucco’s version showcased a clip from the actual “Band Geek” episode where Squidward appears to be quivering and eager to get the performance “over with.” Meanwhile, the Super Bowl version used Squidward to actually introduce Scott and ended with a quick glimpse at the Bikini Bottom’s marching band “playing” a few intro notes from “Sicko Mode” before an asteroid appears to fall down from space onto the stage and Scott begins rapping.

In a statement to the Daily Dot, Trucco said he didn’t expect that his idea to create the SpongeBob-“Sicko Mode” mashup would go viral: “The video took off faster than I ever expected and before I knew it I was getting hundreds of thousands of likes… Since its creation, thousands of people have teasingly joked at the possibility of my video being used in Super Bowl LIII this year. However, despite these predictions, no one had ever reached out to me on behalf of Nickelodeon, SpongeBob, Travis Scott, CBS, FOX, or the NFL, so I had no reason to believe that this was the case.”

Some Twitter users were quick to credit Trucco for the SpongeBob Super Bowl tribute. “@anthonytrucco thank you for making that possible #HalftimeShow” user @_DaSilvaSandra tweeted.

User @dragonflyjonez also wondered, “But did the person who made that Spongebob/’Sicko Mode’ mashup get paid? I’m sure they had to pay Spongebob creators/Nickelodeon whoever. I’d be sick if something I created made it to the Super Bowl and I didn’t see a dime from it.”

User @abzpry thinks Trucco should at least have been mentioned in the CBS Sports report we called attention to above:

User @dracofrm29 likewise noted they weren’t exactly the same clips but that “yours was better.”

However, not everyone thinks Trucco should get compensated for the idea. “You expect to get paid for Two things that aren’t yours ? Yikes man,” @bradlitt22 tweeted Trucco. “You took the work of others and now want to get paid for other people doing the same thing lol,” @MasonTSchweizer pointed out.

Trucco is on the wrong side of conversations on intellectual property rights, as user @reminiss was quick to mention:

In response to users’ tweets that he shouldn’t be given credit for the idea, Trucco told the Daily Dot that he’s not really after any form of compensation or “legal credit.”

“I am not seeking legal credit or reparations for the use of my creation. … It wouldn’t have taken a lot of work for one of the parties that I mentioned [in my tweet] to acknowledge the inspiration for the Super Bowl set. I want to make it very clear that I am in no way upset or angry at anyone. … I hope that the NFL and associates will do the right thing and reach out…”

While he knows he doesn’t own the rights to SpongeBob or “Sicko Mode,” he maintains he deserves credit for the original mashup: “One thing I can say with 100% certainty is that those two creations would have never existed together at today’s halftime show had I not brought the two together in my mash up video.”

NFL, @NFLonCBS, @nflnetwork, and CBS Sports—who were mentioned in Trucco’s tweet—have yet to respond to our requests for comment. We’ll update this post if they do.

It would be hard to confirm if Trucco can claim to have been the first one to have a SpongeBob-“Sicko Mode” mashup idea. He certainly made it popular on Twitter, but outside of the platform, who knows? Still, we can’t help but ponder the same thing as @iamcam35, who tweeted, “I can’t imagine how many ideas that [began] on Twitter went on to make someone else money in real life.”

Will SpongeBob Fans Get A Sweet Victory This Super Bowl?

0

Spongebob SquarePants fans are really, really looking forward to the halftime show.

Speculation over whether halftime act Maroon 5 would play the song “Sweet Victory” in memory of SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg has reached a fever pitch online.

Reporters in Atlanta have heard the pop group practicing for the big performance, which appears to include visuals of the cartoon character.

During teasers for their big show, Maroon 5 included SpongeBob.

Rodger Bumpass, the voice of Squidward, also announced on Facebook he’ll be part of the show, CBS Sports reported.

“Sweet Victory” not only would be a great tribute to SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died in November but also would fit the theme. SpongeBob and his band during Bikini Bottom’s equivalent to the Super Bowl in a 2001 episode. You can see that full performance here.

The official news comes after months of an online petition made its rounds gathering over a million signatures asking for the song to be part of the half-time show.

“As some of you may or may not know, Stephen Hillenburg — the creator of Spongebob Squarepants —passed away recently. As a tribute to his legacy, his contributions to a generation of children, and to truly showcase the greatness of this song, we call for Sweet Victory to be performed at the Halftime Show,” the petition reads.

While many are excited, some are nervous that the performance won’t live up to the hype.

I think we are getting our hopes up and it’ll be one of those five-second clips in the middle of a montage thing that they always do at the SB, not the full performance we actually want,” Reddit user innnikki wrote on a thread about the performance.

“Which is a shame because I believe Maroon 5 would do a killer cover of this song,” user flaccomcorangy adds. “I can’t say I’m a huge fan of theirs, but they’re a good band, and Adam Levine’s voice would fit the song pretty well.”

And, this being Reddit, of course there are memes.

It’ll be a Sweet Victory from BikiniBottomTwitter

What really happens on the sidelines at football games

0

When you watch the big game, just remember, that, yeah, sure football’s a fun sport, it really is — but it’s a dangerous one. Especially for the hard-working gridiron greats who work tirelessly every game day. Those on the sidelines taking hit after hit after hit, without a word of complaint.

It’s called sideline violence, and it’s a thing. The hits don’t quit, and for these pioneers of the pigskin it’s time we did something. Like, I don’t know, watch Everybody Loves Raymond or something. I heard it’s a pretty good show.

‘Payitaht Abdülhamid’ garners great interest abroad

Lately, Turkish series have gained large audiences abroad. One particularly popular series nowadays is Turkish state channel TRT’s show “Payitaht Abdülhamid,” which is broadcast via TV, the internet and through media abroad.

The director of the series, Emre Konuk spoke to Anadolu Agency (AA) about the show.

Konuk noted that he was very pleased with the interest shown in the series abroad and said that they are working at a very busy pace and then watch the series on Friday. “We don’t have much idea about what’s going on in the world. We understand from the interest shown to our actors and actresses when they go abroad and the messages we receive that the series is not just loved on our land, but we created something that has spread to the world and is successful. We are naturally very proud,” said Konuk.

He also noted that the shooting is very enjoyable as well and added, “‘Payitaht Abdülhamid’ is an important project for history. We are commemorating the life of a very important person. Sultan Abdülhamid was one of the most important sultans of the Ottoman Empire. His time was a very rough period. The end of the Ottoman Empire. He postponed the collapse of the Ottoman Empire for 30 years and maybe, built the foundation of today’s Turkey. Therefore, it is a project I enjoy. While we do not learn history from such series, they increase attention for our reading history, so we can say that we have reached our goal.”

‘This is our second home’

Bülent İnal, the leading actor of the series who plays Sultan Abdülhamid noted that they visited a film festival in Qatar’s capital Doha and received great reactions. “We were not aware that ‘Payitaht Abdülhamid’ was so eagerly watched in Doha. They have been translating and publishing it on the same day over YouTube or other social media. They welcomed us with great love. We get the same attention and love from other Arab countries over social media. The number of fans of Payitaht is increasing day by day,” said İnal. He added that they continue their job with the same seriousness and the same love.

İnal noted that the series is going on at full speed and said, “It is pleasant. We are like a family now. This is our second home. We are here every day.”

Real history told to new generation

Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, who plays “Tahsin Pasha” in the series, noted that “Payitaht Abdülhamid” was not an ordinary series, and they are not doing something for popular culture.

He added that while they work hard, everyone from the actors and producers to anyone who contributed to the series is motivated that “Payitaht Abdülhamid” transcend the borders of Turkey and get great feedback from the world.

“We know that we are watched with great interest despite all the limitations, in all geographies the Grand Ottoman Empire has contacted. We are trying to create a consciousness. It is a very important series since it shows the global powers of the past and who the exploiters were, how they survived until today and that the philosophy still continues even though the states and individuals have changed. My claim as a writer is that it is not possible for a generation that does not know its history, is not aware of its history and one that has not internalized it, to create a future.

“Turkey has believed in a history that was imposed upon it. The Arab world tried to understand us through the history imposed by the British. But the contacts we have established in these geographies show that we are actually delivering our own history, people, culture, religion and history to these geographies. We are telling our real history to younger generations and that is what is important. We are telling what someone, who was defamed for years, was actually doing; what his ideas were along with how he was concerned with the whole of the Islamic geography; how he was alongside the oppressed and what kind of internal and external forces he had to deal with.”

Yenişehirlioğlu also added that the series has a lot to do with today. “It may be perceived as if we are not doing a series about today’s world. Yet this is not the case. What happened yesterday coincides with what happened today. We are expressing a historical consciousness. We are teaching our own history to our generation with high quality cinematography, script and shooting. Being a part of this and interpreting a character that is loved, trusted and can be leaned on is very pleasing for me as well,” added Yenişehirlioğlu.

Yenişehirlioğlu noted that they will continue without any break in season three and that it looks like they will also be shooting a fourth season as well.

‘It sheds light on the present’

Playing Egyptian Khedive Fuat, Hakan Yufkacıgil noted that the excitement increases a little more each week. “It is going pretty good for me as an actor. We are interacting with the audience. Their feedback is great. They support us greatly. I am playing a wicked character in the project and I’m researching about his past. This nation has had a very difficult time; they had to deal with traitors. While ‘Payitaht’ does not have such a mission, we are observing these from the outside. I believe we are shining a light on today. Our series is going very well. We take pleasure in working,” said Yufkacıgil.

He also underlined the interest in the series abroad and added that they are seeing great support from abroad and that people are under the influence of the series.

“Payitaht Abdülhamid” is screened on Fridays on TRT 1.
