Gift-giving is hard. Everybody has that aunt who always buys you cartoon-themed fuzzy socks or a nautical Christmas ornament when really, all you wanted was some cash or a Chili’s gift card. The intent was there, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
Gal Gadot did the same thing on Instagram last night.
The Wonder Woman star shared a video in which she reflected on the global impact of coronavirus and tried to bring some levity to the situation. “These past few days got me feeling a bit philosophical,” Gadot said. “It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from. We’re all in this together.”
Inspired by footage of an Italian man playing the trumpet on his balcony for his quarantined neighbors, Gadot broke into an a cappella version of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” before passing the torch to several of her famous friends. Lending their vocal talents to the video were Kristin Wiig, James Marsden, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Fallon, Zoë Kravitz, Amy Adams, Will Ferrell, and Sia, among many others.
There’s no polite way to say this, but the video is… bad. Every celebrity sings in a radically different key (“sings,” “key”), and the awkwardly angled selfie videos radiate Big Boomer Energy. There are a few highlights—Sia is a vocal powerhouse as always, Marsden has an impressive vibrato, and Ferrell’s voluminous hair is a thing of wonder—but ultimately, this thing is a cringe compilation for the ages.
And Twitter users promptly roasted the hell out of it.
Viewers were crestfallen to see their favorite celebrities participate in such an excruciating video. Other people couldn’t bear to finish the whole thing. (It’s three minutes long!) The secondhand embarrassment was palpable.
Some Twitter users liked to imagine that their favorite celebrities would never stoop so low, as Gianmarco Soresi did with his spot-on Jeff Goldblum impression.
Needless to say, Gadot’s “Imagine” video was a well-intentioned swing and a miss.
Hopefully everybody who stumbled across Gadot’s “Imagine” video can unsee it quickly and go back to talking about Cats. Here’s hoping every member of the Instagram ensemble cast finds more productive ways to cushion the global impact of coronavirus.

E ne fund ai u shpreh optimist se me bashkepunimin e qytetareve qe duhet te izolohen ne do ta perballojme situaten.

Last week, Tom Holland announced the highly-anticipated third film in his Spider-Man run. Now, a leak originally posted to 4chan by someone claiming to be a “Marvel insider,” according to the Independent, included details on the film’s title, cast, and villains.
After a contentious back-and-forth between Sony and Disney—Marvel’s parent company—a November deal ensured that Holland will portray Peter Parker in another Spider-Man film and at least one other Marvel Cinematic Universe release. While speaking with the Inquirer, the 23-year-old actor announced that both he and Zendaya would return to their roles for the upcoming film, the plot for which is “absolutely insane.”
We already knew that the film is scheduled to release on July 16, 2021. We also knew it would be directed by Jon Watts, the same director that tackled the first two Holland-helmed Spidey films. What we don’t know: The film’s title, villains, or any major plot points. After the viral 4chan post, that may have changed.
‘Spider-Man 3’ leak: Title, villain, and cast details
In keeping with the first two film’s titles, the third release is reportedly set to be titled Spider-Man: Home Run. Considering how Far From Home ended, the “run” part of that title is particularly interesting. The second film’s final moments saw Peter Parker revealed as Spider-Man and framed for the death of the villainous Mysterio.
The leak also reportedly revealed two major villains: Kraven and Scorpion. If the leak can be trusted, filmmakers are eyeing Henry Cavill to tackle Kraven, a longtime favorite among Spider-Man villains. No one has been specifically named as a potential for Scorpion, but some fans have a theory.
On March 7, Better Call Saul actor Michael Mando sent out a very odd tweet. Wordless, it featured only a photo of Mando with a desert back-drop and, in place of a caption, a scorpion emoji. The tweet immediately sparked rumors among fans that Mando was tapped to portray the iconic Spider-Man villain.
The leak points to two other actors as potential additions to the film as well. Stranger Things’ Joe Keery and Glee‘s Jane Lynch may be among the movie’s lineup, though no characters have yet been linked back to the actors.
Can the 4chan leak be trusted? Definitely maybe. Spoilers thrive on anonymous message boards like Reddit. With tentpole franchise blockbusters that come tethered to fandom, they’re especially prevalent online.

The singer and chef will release her new weed cooking show, Cooked with Cannabis, via Netflix on April 20, appropriately. She announced the news on social media yesterday, explaining her motivation for the show on Instagram. “As a chef, I was intrigued by the food and as an everyday person, I was interested in how powerful this topic is in today’s society,” she wrote. “In this country, many things have been used systematically to oppress groups of people, but this is so culturally important for us to learn and grow together.”
According to Pitchfork, Cooked with Cannabis comprises six episodes, co-hosted by Kelis and Portland-based chef Leather Storrs. Three professional chefs will compete in each episode to make the best three-course, cannabis-infused meal for a chance to win $10,000. Several celebrity dinner guests, including actress Ricki Lake and rappers Too $hort and El-P, will appear in the first season as well.
Cooked with Cannabis makes a logical addition to Kelis’ impressive resume. After earning international acclaim with her 1999 debut album Kaleidoscope and reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003 with “Milkshake,” Kelis trained part-time as a saucier and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. She has her own sauce line called Bounty & Full and released her first cookbook, My Life on a Plate, in 2015.
Netflix has married culinary arts and weed culture in a handful of shows, including Cooking on High and Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
