Was Tom Hanks Arrested? Far-Right Hoax Group QAnon Spreads Rumors

“If I take legal action, it gets worse because then, to them, it’s true and I’m trying to ‘silence’ them,” she said. With that in mind, the best reaction to these unfounded conspiracy theories is no reaction at all. You most likely won’t see Tom Hanks make a statement about his “arrest” because that could just feed the trolls. He has more important things to focus on, anyway — like resting up and getting healthy!

‘Social Distancing’ Is Not Just A New Buzz Word. It’s The Most Important Thing You Can Do.

By now, we’ve all heard about “social distancing.” It’s a phrase that, a week ago or even less, probably wasn’t a big part of most of our vocabularies (insert introvert joke here). Now, turn on the news and hearing it is unavoidable. It’s what we’re all being directed to do straight from the CDC. And the truth is, it’s the right thing to do.

In the wake of the inevitable spread of COVID-19, most of us are realizing that practicing social distancing isn’t paranoia. Right now, it’s incredibly necessary to help keep the most vulnerable populations safe.

This has been a unique and unprecedented situation. We haven’t experienced anything quite like this pandemic before. So, it makes sense than many of us have needed a bit of time to catch up, especially because each day feels a little different than the day before. The coronavirus continues to multiply. The fact that we’re in the midst of a very life-altering outbreak feels a little more real all the time.

It’s uncomfortable, scary, and confusing. But we need to tune in and listen to the experts now more than ever when it comes to social distancing.

Here are 5 important things to remember about social distancing:

‘Quarantine and Chill’ Trends As More People Self-Isolate Amid Coronavirus

As more people begin to self-isolate to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, a new hashtag has popped up to encourage others to do the same.

#Quarantineandchill—a current-day takeoff of Netflix and chill without necessarily the potential for a romantic encounter—is all about staying inside, preferably with some form of entertainment and a pet. Or your kids when they’re stuck at home.

There’s a bit of confusion about what the closures of schools around the country means for children during the pandemic, but it definitely isn’t the same as, say, a summer break.

“Closing schools does not mean its OK to take your kids to the movies, skating, McDonalds play place, the park or any other place of entertainment!!” Twitter user @Ms_D_Hernandez wrote. “It means keep them at home so the virus doesn’t spread. Otherwise, there is no point in closing schools. #Quarantineandchill.”

Keeping kids at home is a popular topic for the tag, with many parents wondering at what time it becomes appropriate to start drinking.

“What time is cocktail hour when you are quarantined with 5 year old twins? Asking for a friend,” Twitter user @ilyseh wrote.

It’s not just parents drinking, either.

“When you’re on day 2 of your self quarantine but on your 8th bottle of wine. #Quarantineandchill,” @Jenni_77 wrote.

Then there are the people choosing to spend their time learning new things or messing with their pets. Or both.

“Day 5 of social distancing and I’m taking time to read one of the classics,” @sc_danielson wrote in a tweet. “I’m also singing to my pets about wood now so the next few weeks will be interesting… #Quarantineandchill.”

But no matter how you practice #Quarantineandchill, there’s only one real requirement: Just stay inside.

Are ‘The Voice’ Blind Auditions Filmed All in One Day? Here’s the Tea

During that time, the singer received “social media and interview training by professionals that were brought in by The Voice to teach us skills for living our lives ‘out loud’ on social media, radio, print, and red carpet platforms,” she shared.

Kat added that unlike American Idol, producers would source the artists selected to participate in the Blinds since there are no publicly held auditions. “I would have never auditioned standing in line, it just wasn’t on my bucket list,” she admitted.

8 Great First Pets For Kids, When A Dog Isn’t An Option

The first pets that my sister and I had fit in a round glass bowl. Goldfish were a big part of our lives, serving as the go-to pet for plenty of years. While goldfish have their purpose, sometimes they can seem a little dull. After all, you can’t play fetch with a fish.

When trying to negotiate for a furrier pet, she and I settled on a hamster and a gerbil. We petitioned our parents hard, proving that we’d be responsible rodent owners. But finally, my parents caved and decided to welcome a dog to the house. It was an option that she and I didn’t even know was a possibility. Here we were, aiming low.

While Buttons the Bichon Frise was an adorable and very important part of the Belz family, many homes can’t easily welcome a dog. A lot of people are renting homes these days, and the lease may prevent certain pets. Also, dogs are a lot of responsibility — especially if you end up with a puppy. Still, there are plenty of great options that fall somewhere between goldfish and dogs. If your children are aching for a new family member, here are 8 great “first pets” you might want to consider.

HHS Hit With Cyberattack Amid Coronavirus Response

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) computer system was hit with a cyberattack on Sunday as the country continues to grapple with its coronavirus response.

Bloomberg first reported on the attack, which appears to have been designed to slow down HHS services. Sources told the news outlet that the attack did not slow down services in a meaningful way. ABC News notes that the origin of the cyberattack is being investigated.

The cyberattack tried to overload HHS servers with millions of hits, according to Bloomberg. However, a Washington Post reporter noted that a source told her that “on a scale of 1-10, the incident was about a 2.”

HHS has been keeping an eye out for cyberattacks and malicious websites.

Last week, HHS warned employees about a fake coronavirus mapping website that pretended to be an official one from John Hopkins University. The HHS email, which was reported by CNN, described a similar map to one that was outlined by Reason Labs that asked users to download an application that would infect a computer with malware.
