‘Welcome to de@th row’: CVS worker says ‘literally everyone’ is out sick with COVID in viral TikTok
A TikToker working at CVS claimed that most of her colleagues are out sick with COVID-19—and that she’s one of four employees not quarantined.
The video, posted by user @doubleblt, shows her with her head in her hands as she looks at the camera. The beginning of a Tupac Shakur’s song, “Welcome 2 Death Row,” plays in the background.
The TikTok has over 65,000 views.
The top comment on the post, with only three likes, thanked @doubleblt for doing her job. “Prayers up for the team on the frontline,” it reads.
@doubleblt’s TikTok came as the U.S. reported a surge in COVID-19 infections. Earlier this week, the Centers for Disease Control reported that the omicron variant of COVID-19 now accounts for almost three-quarters of new cases.
While certain states, like New York, have reported record new daily COVID-19 cases, it’s not clear from @doubleblt’s video where she’s located.
In the comments, though, several viewers sympathized with her current work situation.
“Bless yo heart fr,” one commenter said.
“I feel your pain. My boss has it and others worked with him and I’m still working, nervous as hell,” said another viewer. “I’m fully [vaxxed], but [that] don’t mean nothing.”
@doubleblt responded that she’s fully vaccinated and has had COVID-19 twice. She said she’s waiting to get her booster shot. “I hope that you stay safe and healthy,” she commented.

Viral TikTok footage shows a woman breaking down in tears after unwrapping her Christmas present.
The gift was an American Girl doll, and the first doll she had ever owned. As she opened the box, she can be seen crying more and talking in Spanish.
The footage, posted by TikTok user @ilianmejia06 or Lilian Mejia, went viral overnight. On TikTok, the video reached 2.4 million views and about 13,600 comments as of Saturday.
The video was cross-shared to Twitter, where it also went viral.
Twitter user @TheDivineNyla or Tima, tweeted the TikTok, saying, “I love seeing adults heal their inner child. She never had a doll in her life & my heart melted.”
Other Twitter users chimed in, saying that “little things” like getting a toy you never had as a child can have such a profound impact.
“It be the little things man, when you go through life without and finally get to experience something it’s a special moment you never forget,” one user replied to the tweet.
“Being an adult means compensating our neglected childhood,” another person wrote.
Someone else on Twitter said, “This made me so sad. I know so many elders who never really had a childhood because they had to support the family at a young age. I’m wishing this señora a safe healing.”
Other viewers wrote that they were crying too just watching the video, and some simply said, “I love this video.”
On TikTok, the comments were similar, full of feel-good energy and happiness that the woman finally got her first doll.
“I cry. This world is cruel with some people. She never had a childhood and her emotion of getting a doll says it all,” one TikToker commented.
Another user said, “let’s normalize buying items to heal our inner child. Life is too short to not to get to enjoy the things we always wanted but couldn’t have.”
TikTok user @ilianmejia06 did not respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment.

Bono Performed U2’s ‘Running To Stand Still’ At Dublin’s Christmas Eve Busk
Musician Glen Hansard has been organizing a Christmas charity event in Dublin for several years now. And to support the Irish event, Ireland’s very own rockstar, Bono of U2, has been making appearances at the annual event. In previous years, Bono has performed the holiday classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Darlene Love in 2020, as well as “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way” and the carols, “O Holy Night” and “O Night Divine” back in 2018. Both of those years, Edge joined him in his performance. This year, however, he showed up by himself and played with a group of Irish musicians, including Hansard, as his backing band.
After giving the people what they want with The Joshua Tree tour in 2017, he’s since realized how near and dear this album — well, and Achtung Baby — are to U2 fans. In that spirit, he performed “Running To Stand Still” from The Joshua Tree at the event as a slightly more subdued version, but complete with a harmonica solo. Previously the event was held on Dublin’s Grafton Street, but this year the concert 2021 was moved to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and performed as a livestream event, with all the proceeds still set to benefit Simon Community.
