On this day, (June 10, 1916, CE), the British supported Hussein ibn Ali – Sharif (Emir of Makkah) and ordered his supporters to Attack the Ottoman Garrison in Makkah.
This is considered the proper Beginning of
the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans. Misguided Arab Forces led by The Evil, Thomas Edward Lawrence of Arabia, a British Officer led the Arab Revolt against the Turks and engaged in Guerrilla Warfare against the Ottoman Forces throughout the region.
