Napoleon said, if ever the whole world became one country, only one city, Constantinople, would deserve to be its capital. Constantinople was the capital of the victorious Byzantine Empire. Spread over two continents, this city was built about 2,500 years ago. Surrounded by mountains on both sides, the city is naturally protected. In the sea, the Romans installed a large barbed chain in a magical way, when an enemy ship came, they would pull the chain, as a result, the bottom of the ship would break in the middle of the sea and the ship would sink. No army can move over the hill. In addition, the side where the land is well is also surrounded by a multi-layered security wall. This wall is up to 50 feet thick in some places. A short distance beyond the walls is the fortified outpost of the artillery, the all but impregnable city of Constantinople. There is a proverb in our village Bengal, the cow of the story climbs the tree. There was a similar saying about Constantinople’s impregnable defenses, that Constantinople could only be conquered if a seafaring ship ever climbed the mountain. Over the centuries, various powerful empires tried to capture Constantinople. But no one could break even a wall. Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) sat with some of his followers in an unknown small town of Hejaz and said to some of his poor followers, ❝ Surely you will conquer Kustuntiniya. How good will be the Amir of that party and how good will be the victorious soldiers ❞ Umar Al Farooq RA. Since the Caliphate, Muslims have been conducting one after another Constantinople raids. But no one has seen the face of success. Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari fell ill in one such expedition. Before dying, he bequeathed to the Muslim army, go as near as possible to the city, and bury me in the middle of the entrance road to the city so that in future the merciful Muslim army may enter Kustuntinia over me. In 1453, Sultan Muhammad Kustuntiniya campaigned. He takes allegory seriously. This fairy tale becomes reality. Indeed, the ship of the sea climbs the mountain. He sailed over the mountains and attacked Constantinople. This is the first and probably the last time in the history of the world that a ship has climbed the mountain
